I dont know about TVServer but in the old TV engine, there is an option that says "Use non-index channels(US)" or something similar that should do what you want it to do.
ya that did it. thanks a lot. you need to uncheck that box in the clients tv setup. also you need to be in the channel group that contains the channel you want to change to
Has anyone managed to get the IRSS to work with Multichoice PVR I? I have a basic setup at home with MCE remote and blaster. When I install Windows 7 I am able to configure it to change my PVR's channels with no problems, but I can't get MP to do the same.
Do I need to create a new IR command file? if so, how do I go about doing that?
Any help/guidance/assistance would be appreciated...
First off happy new year, full steam ahead to the World Cup!
I am checking of anyone has had experience of using a PCI DVB-S/S2 card with CI and CAM with DSTV?
I have always wanted to get the best generation signal into Mediaportal and am finally ready to take the dive on this route. Can anyone recommend any particular hardware? (The idea here is to be legal of course)
In the past I read many posts of people trying to get DSTV working with CAM's, but there was no way found to get past the DSTV security restrictions. Based on these posts DSTV has so many restrictions and controls that the only way to watch it is by using a DSTV-Decoder. I do remember one success story in one of the posts, but the user used a very old smart-card (more than 6years old)....the new smart-cards just cant be used, they are locked down to securely. Sorry, that's about the only knowledge I have.....
secondly, sorry for the res of an old thread... but I know you guys will be able to help me, as most of us from SA are STILL working with analogue signals... Who would have thought!
So Im trying to setup a HTPC, but not really... hehe. Its my PC I use everyday, and I have dual screen. Basically I want to be able to have the DSTV on my second screen, while Im doing whatever on the main screen.
So I bought one of these and hooked up the DSTV via RCA leads
