I just tried to make my own myhome.xml using the mediastream menu editor and the myhome.xml posted by kiwijunglist, as described in post 2. If I put my modified xml into the mediastream directory it works although it looks a little off, however if I put it into the streamedmp folder it doesn't work, it just shows #prefix#item name etc... Anyone know why?
I attatched the myhome.xml

Hi,

I also tried to make a myhome.xml but it doesn't work :(
I also asked what to do here (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...p-community-mods-bug-fixes-49484/index49.html)

But still no answer :(

Please if someone could help me about that, it would be great.

Thanks for all your answers and your help :)

Regards
Vlaves

    Hey Guys, here is a quick mod that makes the Standard Home look more like the BasicHome.

    Thanks losttown, I deleted the picture and the skin cache, but the border is still there.

    Are we probably talking about different borders? I'm referring to the thin (half transparent?) border around the channel icon, not the black border.

    :oops: :sorry:
    It's
    Code:
      <control>
          <description>TV Logo border</description>
          <type>image</type>
          <posX>6</posX>
          <posY>440</posY>
          <width>170</width>
          <height>170</height>
          <texture>imagebg.png</texture>         change on      <texture>-</texture>
          <centered>yes</centered>
          <keepaspectratio>yes</keepaspectratio>
        </control>

    Thanks losttown, that worked!

    Another thing that just crossed my mind... Is it possible to move the channel logo a little bit down:

    So it looks something like that:

    Just change the Y position to a higher value in the same xml files. In these 2 controls. I already did this one. I also like the version without the border more :)

    <control>
    <description>TV background</description>
    <type>image</type>
    <id>1</id>
    <posX>16</posX>
    <posY>530</posY>
    <width>150</width>
    <height>150</height>
    <texture>logo_BG.png</texture>
    <keepaspectratio>yes</keepaspectratio>
    <centered>yes</centered>
    </control>
    <control>
    <description>TV Logo</description>
    <type>image</type>
    <id>10</id>
    <posX>16</posX>
    <posY>530</posY>
    <width>150</width>
    <height>150</height>
    <texture>#TV.View.thumb</texture>
    <keepaspectratio>yes</keepaspectratio>
    <centered>yes</centered>
    </control>

    I modded my basichome to have some nice additions;
    1) A readout using HTPCInfo showing the vital system stats
    2) A tv series recently added readout

    For a feel see images attached.

    How to install:
    1) Download the zip and extract it to your streamedmp skin folder
    2) Open Basichome.xml in your favourite editor
    3) At the end add the following line just before "</controls></window>"
    Code:
    <import>basichome.htpcinfo.xml</import>
    <import>basichome.recentlyadded.xml</import>
    You can leave either out if you do not wish to use them.
    4) When you do not use tvseries recently added skip to step 7
    5) Open basichome.recentlyadded.xml in your favourite editor
    6) You will need to edit line 10 where it reads "<visible>control.isvisible(1003)....". The value 1003 needs to be changed to the ID value used in Basichome.xml for a certain section. You can figure this out by doing a search in basichome.xml for the menu item names and looking at the visible tag.
    7) Open basichome.htpcinfo.xml in your favourite editor
    8) You will need to do the same step as for tvseries step 6. Locating the first <visible> tag and change the control.isvisible ID.
    9) You will also need to edit HTPCInfo's properties because most likely you will not have my exactly identical setup. HTPCInfo users should know what to do, reading HTPCInfo's manual might help.

    Hi Joz,

    You jumped the gun on me here, have a couple of imports in progress for both these options and was the next thing to add to the editor.

    If ok with you would like to include these in the next skin release, will have to mod slightly and generate on the fly to cope with differnet menu layouts but the basics should remain the same.

    Thanks

    Sure take anything you want and do whatever you like to it! I was not all to happy about my designs so if you have any good ideas to polish them up a little go ahead.

    Here are 2 new channel logos for Switzerland "Schweizer Sport Fernsehen" and "Tele Basel".

    I also created a second archive containing all renamed (existing) channel logos that work for my DVB-C (InterGGA - GGAPratteln - EBM [Baselland]). It also contains these 2 new logos.
