Try copying the recording to the local pc and play it.

I have a feeling it may be your switch/hub/router...

    Hi there,

    Please post all your logs.

If you say that the recording does not play well from Myvideos, but does in vlc, then it points to codec issue (might be a rendered issue?)

Have you tried using ms codecs?

Like it said above, full set of logs from trying to play it from MyVideos would help.

Does shift-1 confirm the correct codecs?

Have you tried installing graph studio and playing it through that?

    J.

I've just finished reinstalling my complete system (again!) in order to be clean for some more testing (have bought a HD receiver Humax for my girlfriend for time being).

Still had a previous recording which runs superb chubby on mediaportal, but when watching the same recording through mediaplayer it's smooth.

Yes, i've tried nearly every codec i could find.

Could you explain graph studio a bit more?

Okay, finaly Shift-1 worked on HD Television, there is something verrrrry wrong if the lines have to be straight.

    What could this be?

    Codecs are @ LAV 0.50.5 (SAF 6.1.1)

    Edit:

Added another pic for HD television. The lines start up like three straight lines, after a few seconds the lines start to dance. Going from up to down and after a while everything hangs.

No MPAR and i use the original 1.2.3 TSReader.ax and DShowhelper

Could you check your CPU usage?
Have you set Hardware Acceleration to DXVA2 (native) in LAV Video Config?

Looking at the TsReader log you posted (where are the other logs ???) -

    Code:
    31-05-2012 22:58:10.541 [195c]open \\MEDIAPORTAL\For The Record Timeshift\Card2-1-0.ts.tsbuffer, isTimeshift:1, isUNC:1

...which looks like a UNC path - are you recording/timeshifting to a network drive ? (unless it's just the way FTR does things)

    Also
