Sorry, not sure what you are saying ?

I'm saying that a quad-core CPU can play it smoothly using FFDShow YADIF, because both the decoder and YADIF are multi-threaded in FFDShow.

Don't confuse threads with CPU cores - you can have more decoding threads than CPU cores....

Try setting LAV video to use only 3 threads (see attached image) - works nicely on my laptop (i5-460M)....

Seems like LAV also adds multi-threading YADIF support in the next version.
