Quick question: Does SubCentral allow previewing of a subtitle file? i.e. you select it, see a preview (or the whole file), and can then decide to keep or reject it.

Example where it would be useful: Currently I look for subtitle files where only certain bits are subtitled (e.g. foreign bits in an english film), and it takes a lot of trial and error to find the correct file.

Ok. The new dll worked :)
I can now search for subtitles from the SubCentral plugin.
BUT if I search for subtitles from Tv-Series or from MovingPictures, as far the subcentral screen is drawn (I can see the list of sutitleproviders), Windows says that "MediaPortal has stopped working" and if i press the debug button, the Visual Studio Just-In-Time Debugger says "An unhandled exception ('<System.StackOverflowException>') occured in MediaPortal.exe [2148]". Any idea what's going on? In the logs a can't see anything usesful.

Hi, just to let you know, I wasn't able to reproduce this as I had one option turned off that "saved" me from the crash :( But today, I've been able to pinpoint this error (with help from Sebastiii :)) and it's already fixed in SVN. I'm currently updating some more stuff and will release new Alpha soon.

Hi, currently this is not possible. But if you add it to GoogleCode I might take some time to implement it later. Thanks! :)

I'm in the same boat as revs :) Perhaps a way to search for subs for "foreign parts only"...

Was there an opportunity to add a search engine "http://www.napiprojekt.pl/" This service uses a proprietary program and I do not know if that was a big problem.

Any updates on the status of version 1.0? :) I can see that the first post is pending an update with a new version...

    Thanks for a great plugin!

Hi, read FAQ (second post) for more information about adding and/or requesting search providers.

Hi, SubCentral 1.0 stable will probably come close to MediaPortal 1.2 release. For new SubCentral alpha version, this week (I will upload in first post) I want to update plugin to support new MediaPortal 1.2 Beta plugin version check but at the same time to be compatible with older MediaPortal stable releases (1.1, 1.1.2, 1.1.3). I'm not sure if that's gonna be possible so there might be two releases, one for stable MediaPortal versions, one for 1.2.

New SubCentral Alpha (SubCentral v1.0.0.175 Alpha) added to first post. There are two versions attached:

    * Download SubCentral v1.0.0.175 Alpha if you're using MediaPortal v1.1.* or v1.2 Alpha.
    * Download SubCentral v1.0.0.175 Alpha For MediaPortal 1.2 Beta if you're using MediaPortal v1.2 Beta (SVN r27644 and above).

As always, report any problems & thanks for testing the Alpha release :)

Re: SubCentral v0.9.1 - download & manage subtitles (Moving Pictures/MP-TVSeries/othe

Thanks a lot for the release!

Initially I applied the wrong version for MP 1.2 Alpha and I can confirm that it does not work :p

When I used the correct version it generally seemed to work - I found the following though:
    - A single Italian subtitle was returned, even though I have only enabled English subtitles
    - In one occasion it failed to download a subtitle from Podnapisi - getting the results worked

I will do some more tests and get back to you.

    Thanks again!

    :D, as expected

Hard to tell anything without debug logs. Does the first issue happens always, can you reproduce it on request?

The second problem was probably due to server/connection problems. Again, hard to tell without logs. Same question applies, can you reproduce it?

    Thanks!
