Re: SubCentral v0.9.1 - download & manage subtitles (Moving Pictures/MP-TVSeries/othe

    thunder: Read FAQ :)

SiLenTYL: Perhaps the subtitle file you downloaded has bad encoding (most likely) or your font might miss some characters. Perhaps it could even be a bug in subtitle rendering engine. You have to do some more testing; using japanese DVDs for example or testing the subtitle file in another player (MPC-HC).

Jocker_Boy: Adding languages is the similar to adding new providers/scrapers. It should be done in SubtitleDownloader back-end library. See FAQ for link where you can request this :)

@all: As soon as the new provider/scraper or language is available in SubtitleDownloader, after replacing the DLL with new version, you should be able to see it and use it in SubCentral too.

Thanks.. I tried Japanese subs in a blu Ray and there it worked perfectly so I am thinking that the formatting of the subtitle file (from polinski.com or something ) is wrong

I'll need to find another website with Japanese subs or figure out somethin else

the file from that website gives the same results in mpchc .. Grrr

I just compiled my own version of the plugin, and made the small changes needed, to make it SVN-compatible. But, when I try to make a manual search, I'm told that I need to set a download-folder first. Is this doen in the plugin? I already ahev the default folders set (.\ and .\Subtitles).

The same folders are set in MediaPortal subtitles. I can succesfully search and download subtitles from TV Series, and they work when I play them :)

AFIK, there are no changes needed to make it SVN compatible (?)

If you read the message just a bit closer, it says that you need to set ABSOLUTE download paths :) Manual search is not possible if you have only relative paths (paths with no root), because with no media file to get the root from, relative paths are useless.

This works great but when using StreamedMP skin, I can't bring up the options to search for subtitles without moving the mouse to the side of the screen to bring up the menu. How can I do this using my remote when I have selected the film I want subs for?

    Allanp81..

When u go into moving pictures (movies) in the streamed mp skin u click again on the movie and it will bring up a page for the movie u have chosen

u have 2 options here "play" and "subtitles" .. Click subtitles and it will search from there

Ah, so I have to have moving pictures configured to show me the movie info, rather than just have it play on the first click from the list? Currently when I browse the list, it just plays the movie when i press ok on my remote.

Re: SubCentral v0.9.1 - download & manage subtitles (Moving Pictures/MP-TVSeries/othe

    Hi

I did some ironing of the plugin for version 1.0.0 :) Fixed some bugs and implemented few things reported on our tracker.

So, attached in a first post is a "surprise" alpha release of 1.0.0.

v1.0.0 Alpha version attached is for testing only. See change log for list of bug fixes, improvements, features, skin or translation changes. Try not to use it on your HTPC! You've been warned :)

Attachment is in archive (rar) format and, after unpacking, you should move files to the right places. If you don't know how to do that, DO NOT USE this Alpha release.

There were changes in the skin. You should only test alpha release using any of Blue3 skins (provided in the package).

@translators: there were changes in translations too, see change log :)

    :D

It includes some bug fixes over previous alpha + user created subtitle providers:

    Subsfactory v1.0 - samo_yea
    Titlovi.com v0.1 - SilentException

    :)
