Re: SubCentral v0.9.1 - download & manage subtitles (Moving Pictures/MP-TVSeries/othe

samo_yea: we will see on how it goes, I'm quite busy but I'm hoping to include this in v1.0 or perhaps v0.9.2 (so it's tested before 1.0).

slarti: i need more input on your issue:

    1. You haven't set log level to DEBUG
    2. Please share SubCentral.xml (config file)
    3. You have folder "." set as default?
    4. Z: drive, is it the network or local drive?

    Thanks!

    Hi SilentException.

This is a very nice plugin to use from GUI.

Have you thought of any further automation of this subtitle integration?

When watching DVD/Bluray it is REALLY comfortable to just click your subtitle button on remote - And with a couple of clicks you have subtitles enabled.

What about trying to adapt this into Subcentral - Possible?
Either using the existing subtitle button to do automatic subscene search/downloading of relevant Subtitles?

Would be nice if Subscene automatically downloaded x matches of subtitles in predefines languages, if movie was in Moving Pictures/MP Tvseries. Subtitles files are small and easy/quick to download.

Then this plugin will be a MUST - and Subtitle creators would hopefully name their .sub/srt filenames, so it would integrate 1:1 with subcentral:)

Sorry for the late answer, I had this thread subscribed but I got my first email today:confused:

    1. I thought the Mediaportal debug-mode tool did that automatically?
    2. Not at home, but I'll get it for you tomorrow if you still need it.
    3. Yes
    4. Network, mapped as Z:

I do not understand some of your requests but I'm pretty certain first (search from playback) cannot be done with current MediaPortal architecture.

Second (automatic downloading) is planned but not that soon (no time) :)

    1. I guess something went wrong but the logs have no debug information. If you could set this manually and post logs again, it would be great!
    2. Post it together with logs.

Will take another look when I have this info :)

I've added requests posted here to issue tracker. Also assigned the version for them. Hope I find some time to finish v1.0 soon :)

I actually had a hard time reproducing this, but managed it after a few tries. Logs and xml attached.

    Hi slarti,

could you comment what you did to make this happen? As far as i can see from the logs, you did the following:

    1. Opened SubCentral from TVSeries (Prison Break S01E02)
    2. Searched for subtitles
    3. Clicked on subtitle, SubCentral downloaded it correctly in the folder without any objections.
    4. Clicked on one more subtitle for download (was it different language?)
    5. This time it said that folder isn't writable (?)

If this is true, it's really unknown why this happens. I'll investigate but for now, it's pretty unclear :(

Sorry again for the late answer... All of the above is correct, it downloaded the english subs nicely and with the finnish subs it told me the folder isn't writable. I dismissed the popup with the small X in the top corner, tried again and it worked. I can't see any pattern to when it fails. I have all my series in the same Z: folder, some in the root, some in folders. It doesn't matter which I try, it happens with both kinds. Or it doesn't. I'm as clueless as to why this happens.

I'll probably be doing a fresh install of the whole system when MP 1.2 is out so don't bother yourself too much over this unless you can reproduce this.

    Thanks,

    Slarti

i just have one question regarding showing japanese subs

i dont have my PC configured to show japanese characters at all...i have downloaded the windows update japanese language pack and i have win office installed with "Arial Unicode Regular" selected in MPC-HC, and MPC-HC selected in the subtitles section of the config exe for MP.

i got the subs for some dexter tv eps (in japanese) ..but i dont get japanese characters ..just english characters with some random squiggles

any ideas how i can get japanese subs showing correctly?

    Hello.
    Great plugin.
But the language: Portuguese, is brasilian, right?

Is it possible to add this site to plugin?

    LegendasDivx - Legendas em Português

This is the best site for Portuguese (pt-pt) subtitles download.
This site need registration, is that a problem?

If this could be added, its perfect for all portuguese people that uses MediaPortal.
