Re: SubtitleDownloader 1.9.1

I didn't use this future before, so tryied for MySeries.
I can choose "download subtitle", then select which one, informed that subtitle downloaded and appear subtitle note near others info (audio, video quality).
Unfortunatelly than i press sub button during playing series on my iMon remote, subtitle dont appear. Then playing move, which has inbuilt subtitle, sub button working.
So, what i could missed, that subtitle not working?

p.s
i overwrite SubtitleDownloader.dll at MP root.

But can please someone explain me how to get this working?? i am not into programming. And it looks like e great feature to have.

Thanks.

Hi,

SubtitleDownloader ships with a plugin My TVSeries - MediaPortal Forum 2.5 or newer.

Thanks for your answer, but my main goal was to download subtitles for movies. But reading further on the forum there isnt one yet. Any idea when that release is comming??

Actually we are working on a common plugin for Moving Pictures and TVSeries which would allow subtitle downloading and which can be accessed directly from Moving Pictures and TVseries.

Wouldn't it be nice with a little more automatation?

In settings, you have allready chosen which subtitle provider that works the best for you. Why choose again in a submenu? Just list subs from the allready chosen providers directly.

Maybe even better if subs are downloaded automaticly, same as backgrounds and other imdb data. Maybe it is nessesery to have a possibility to reject a faulty sub, but then it can automaticly test the next one in the list. Prefearably while playing, so you can see if it's correct.

Also I think that subs should be erased together with the video it belongs to.

Am I dreaming... I don't think so. I think all this is very possible :)

I agree on this, but automatically download subtitle is not good. Often it's hard to get right version, this should be handled manually :)

i totally agree on the automation of subtitle download.

place a checkbox in configuration of tvseries to allow automatic download and download the subtitle file at some point inside tvseries. when playing it, or when scrolling to an episode.

This is not a correct thread to discuss about using the downloader in TVSeries
