AW: Support for Futaba DM-140GINK DEMO

You should not install the driver coming with the display/system.

It seems that in MP 1.1.0 RC1 neither the MiniDisplay.dll (which hangs on 'loading plugins' as you start MP), or ExternalDisplay.dll (which just gives a blank VFD) are working for users of the MSI Media Live.

ExternalDisplay.dll was working in the 1.0.2 stable release.

Any help gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

DON'T mix up dll in any case!

MiniDisplay is part of 1.1.0RC1 release and works for many. If not for you please open a bug report, complete of logs, in the relevant forum.

The DM-140GINK driver isn't working here either.
The test is working, but when I start Media Portal 1.1.0.0 the program hangs on loading the plugins.

After Version 1.0.0.0 you MUST not install the VFD Controller Driver in order to use MediaPortal's Mini Display Plugin.
You should Uninstall it from the "Add/Remove Programs" section in the Control Panel and then you will not encounter this specific hang.
I've tetsted this on Windows XP and Windows 7 32 Bit versions and it is working as described above!
