Support for new DefaultWideHD (1 Viewer)

I noticed that video duration doesn't always show in the DefaultWideHD Xmas theme.

Is looks like in DefaultWideHD myvideo.xml there is

<import>common.facade.video.title.xml</import>

instead of

<import>common.facade.video.shares.xml</import>

It works fine for me after making this change.

I also noticed the top scrolling doesn't work if the file name is longer than 87 characters in the DefaultWideHD Xmas theme. This part just disappears instead of scrolling the text.

One more thing about DefaultWideHD Xmas theme - it is missing a grand total time (in brackets) next to the file name when you press Info or Pause on the remote control. I hope this is possible to fix.

Hello there!

I'm wondering how to add a .gif animation file to the homescreen in the DefaultWideHD skin?

I tried to replace hover_my videos.png with a new animated hover_my videos.gif file.
I also edited the BasicHomeEditorDefines.xml and DialogShareDrives.xml which are the only places I could find where hover_my videos.png is mentioned to hover_my videos.gif but the animation does not play.

Did you clear the skin cache after placing the hover_my videos.gif into the subfolder Media ?

Thank you for your reply. Yes, I always delete the skin cache after making changes and the issue is still the same.

I'm using the Xmas theme in the DefaultWideHD skin and I'm trying to change the .png file to an animated Christmas .gif file.

I noticed that the .gif file does not show but it takes the hover_my videos.png file from the main DefaultWideHD Media folder.
Replacing that file to the .gif file seems to work, but the .gif animation only plays once.

Is it possible to change the .png to .gif in the Christmas theme of the DefaultWideHD skin only?

Here is a small ZIP containing everything you need
Just copy the content of this ZIP into your DefaultWideHD folder (overwrite), clear the skin cache, and restart MP - Enjoy

BTW: I optimized the size of your GIF - better for MP skin engine

I copied the ZIP folder contents into the DefaultWideHD folder, overwrote the contents, cleared skin cache and restarted MediaPortal.

I see that the same issue occurs where it takes the hover_my videos.png from the main Media folder in the DefaultWideHD folder and not the hover_my videos.gif in the Xmas Media folder.

I'm using MediaPortal version 1.32.

Do you have any other ideas on how to fix this? I would appreciate it very much!

Ehm, are we talking about BasicHome screen? There it is shown:



But if you mean ClassicHome, then there it always loads the .png image (due to some restrictions of the skin engine for ClassicHome!



In that case you should have written which menu you mean
