Indeed the MS update doesn't have anything to do with the channel change (or any other tv related issue). It's only affecting the instlal process (DVB subtitle filter to be more specific).

In VISTA I can upgrade my MediaPortal with last SVN of 0.2.3.0 RC3 (16531) and everything is working with an old TVengine and TvPlugin of 13 setp...
If I remove Mp 0.2.3.0 RC3 (16531) to install final version of 0.2.3.0 TVPlugIn it's not working (seems not installed after 0.2.3.0 setup in MP): it need to be removed and reinstalled to get it working in final rel......(but this is another issue) If I do it I return in the situation of the follow post:

I do the same in my other disk with XP and everithing it' s working perfectly
Seems in vista the reinstallation of a TVServer or TVPlugIn or upgrade them, destroy the magic situation I have...
For what I see a reinstallation, now it is needed because final version on 0.2.3.0 need a TVPlugIn reinstallation.
First of all...I copied my MediaPortalDirs.xlm after every SVN update to get it working. Now I attached my previous Dirs and the dirs with 0.2.3.0 final, and i dont know if it necessary to copy the old one.
The right dir in Vista for the configurations xml files is Program File... or ProgramData...?(I have some same files in both dirs)
Installing everiyhing at the last version, if I start TVPluing i get the first channel, but when I change channel notthing happens and the previous channel stops. If I stop TV and I start it again the new channel works. The start of every channel take about 20seconds.
Here the logs after trying to switch two times between Rai 1 and Rai 2 Rai 3 on Sat... with last version of everything...
You can see the HW in signature... I use a single site installation, where Server and client are on the same PC, UAC disabled.
Hope in some help to go on... I suppose it's a stupid problems of paths or settings but don't know where to look for...

and.... in my working installation the db3 files and some other files are stored in Program Files\Team Mediaportal\Mediaportal dir. When I install new versions seems that the db3 files are stored in ProgramData\Team Mediaportal\Mediaportal.
Where can i choose which dir to use and which is the right one?
