If anyone's interested, I've just submitted a plugin that allows you to setup a btach file for both suspend and resume. Currently it works for engine 0.2.2.0 + svn, but I'll see if I can add it to the TVServer...

This way, you won't need an external program to trigger off batch files.

Hi guys,

strange behaviour of tve3 server.... when using the tt-media-center (BDA-App) I can hibernate, standby and resume my system dozen times without any problem. Even when I hibernate the pc while tt-media-center is running and a scrambled tv-channel is tuned in, after each resume it works like a charm even with decoding scrambled channels.
Using MP tve3 tv-server will crash each time after resume.

My be its a bug, but even if I start tv-server TVservice and turn on timeshift in setupTV the TVservice cannot be stopped any more. This happens even when timeshift is turned on before trying to stop the service. Killing the TVservice process is the only way out :(

So stopping the service before hibernate/standby and starting it again after resume won't be a solution for me as the TVservice cannot be stopped once it was used by MP and/or timeshifting.

Known problem for you?

Regards
mpFrank

I fixed the problem with a workaround:

1. Downloading psTools from MS
2. Downloading and installing Hibernate Trigger
3. Using pvr-scheduler instead of PowerScheduler

Writing a batch file to run before hibernate/standby using pskill from psTools to kill the tvservice process

Writing another batch file to run after resume, starting the tvservice with the net start command.

Configure hibernate trigger with these two batch files

Not really smart solution but it works for me. With this workaround I a can even record scambled channels after wake up.

Cheers

TechnoTrend has released a new beta-driver. It's one version higher than the one I received to test.

The one I had worked for the TT 3200, had problems with it's CI, though.

Will report if thisone works with the S-1500 aswell.

I tested the new BDA driver 5.0.0.2 with TT S2-3200 successfull.
    Channel scanning OK!
    TVe3 implementation OK!
    Live TV non scrambled OK!
Live TV scrambled OK! (Alphycrypt, PW)
    Timeshift OK!
No problems til now after standby/hibernate, even payTV (CI-Support) works after standby/hibernate without CAM reset... OK!

Seems to be a good release :)

    I guess you use a TT-3200?
Sadly it still does not work with my S-1500 and it's starting to bug me.

    Hello Mpfrank,

do you have Vista as well? How did you install the new drivers? The new drivers seem to combine the capture and tuner driver into one driver. I can update the tuner driver, but not the capture driver.

    Hi aet,

I tried the same update procedure like you first. Resulting that my Vista Ultimate was not bootable any more (crashed during boot).

    Second attempt was more successful:
I uninstalled the drivers first (both capture and tuner) with device manager including enabling the checkbox to delete drivers.
    Then I rebooted the system.
Afterwards there was shown an unknown multimedia device in device manager.
On this device I updated the drivers with the new inf-file from tt.
Driver installation was successful, I rebooted system once again and it worked.

Before touching the tt device drivers you have to stop the tvservice and best to deactivate it (not autostart) for the next boots until the new driver is installed and working.
After that you can start the tvservice again and put it on autostart.

When you then start the tv server config you'll find the new card. Check channel assignment (tv and radio) and the recording path.....

    Hope you'll have luck... ;)

    Cheers
