    Hi,

for me the new driver 5.0.0.2 does still not work reliable with TVE3.
Sometimes it works fine after hibernate sometimes TVE3 shows "channel is scrambled". If this occurs and i stop the TVService.exe and restart it, it works. Also, with the TT MediaCenter there is no issue after hibernate at all.

Therefore, I think TT did a good job but the TVE3 still has some issues here.

mpfrank: Do you still have a 100% success rate with scrambled channels after hibernate/standby?

Do you use standby or hibernate? I use hibernate because earlier test showed that this is more stable...

Do you have "reinit tuners" enabled? I haven't because this gave me even more issues...

    Best regards,

    Andreas

For me its working fine. No hibernate problems anymore.

I have found only a small issue with the new TT 5.0.0.2 driver on Vista Ultimate 32bit:
The driver takes around 30% of CPU load all the time, even if everything is idle and no tvserver or tv app is running and using the card.
Deactivating and activating the TT-S2 3200 card in device manager will solve the problem until next reboot. After rebooting its the same again.

I had a support call with TT and they try to fix this for next driver release.
TT told me that there is an issue with Intel 975x, 965x,... chipsets and my board works with a 975x chipset. So this problem might be very individual ;)

I did not switch back to the old driver release because this new problem with CPU load is not as bad as the hibernate issue for me.

    Cheers

    Hi Andreas,

not a 100%.... Sometimes I get this error msg too.. but 90% it works.
Sometimes I get another problem with video/audio pid not found too. This issue is the same with my TT and KNC card. So it might be more a problem of TVServer/Client than card drivers.

In some aspects the behavior of the software is strange but we are still using a beta-release...

For me all payRadio (Premerie) are not working in TV Server/Client environment.
TVServer is timeshifting but MP won't play the radio stream.... All other (not scambled) stations work ok.
    Are your payRadio channels working?

In don't have the "reinit tuner" option set. Setting this option will make more problems at all.

    Regards

    Hi mpFrank,

I am glad that you are observing still similar issues than me. You are right, we are using a beta release but I am not sure if someone of the devs can finally fix these sporadic stability issues...

I am not using the scrambled radio channels therefore I don't know if it is working for me or not. Can you tell me a channel name? Then I could check...

    Best regards,

    Andreas

    Hey,

I would be more glad if all these issues were fixed than having the same problems .... ;) :D

You are right. It'll be difficult to get all running perfect for the devs. But I tested lots of media software solutions and didn't find one which is even half as good as MP and all are with their special bugs ;)
May be we are at the very beginning of the media computer age....
With good old dbox2 you'll get crashes too and may be your recording didn't work because of whatever ;)

To solve your problem you can use a script disabling/stopping your tvservice before hibernate and restarting it after defined time when resuming.

I used these scripts with old driver version and it was very stable.
If you would like to try, let me know and I'll send you the files.

BTW, I always use hibernate not standby mode.

You can try P-Dance for example (Premiere Dance)....

    Let me know the result...

    :D in advance

    mpFrank

    Hi ,
after some weeks of tries, i can't get my TT card works after resume, i can't understand in deeper your solutions, you can write a tutorial, step by step, and some demo batch files to help me and eventually others tt users ?
    Thank you.

    Hi mrmojo666,

unfortunately there are no real news.

I am currently using my TT S2-3200 with the driver 5.0.0.2, TVE3 and "reinit TV card after standby..." setting in TV server setup enabled. This works okay with MP RC2/TVE3 and the SVN of 14.09.2007, except for scrambled channels. After every standby/hibernate, the scrambled channels do not work anymore. I have to unplug the CAM in order to get it work again. This is very annoying but I think there is currently not a real alternative:
    - The Hauppauge WinTV CI module is currently not supported by MP
    - The FloppyDTV S2 seems to be a real alternative, also because devs are using it, but some user are reporting "no singal after standby" problems...

Due to the fact that I am mostly watching free-to-air programs, I currently stick to the TT card but maybe I switch to the FloppyDTV once the problems are solved...

BTW: The TT support told me already 2 months ago that a new driver will come out for the TT S2-3200 "in the next few days" :) To be honest: I don't believe anything any more from TT.

To be honest:i'm still thinking all card have some problems with MP standby at this point..... :)

in my system: if i stop tvservice , then use windows standby, at resume i start tvservice all go fine.... perhaps a different implementation of power manage in Mp can be a solution....

in last weeks i tried linux with vdr software...and in that enviroment all works ok with mi tt card and standby (obviusly is different S.O. and different drivers)........ now i pray only mp developer can find a workaround to make all card working....not waiting a driver rewriting from producers.

    bye bye

My TT-S2-3200 does not work either after standby/hibernate.

I need a solution for Vista (32 bit HomePremium, TT Driver 5.0.0.12). I am not sure that solutions for XP will work with Vista (drivers work different, standby method changed, no idea if devcon or hibenatetrigger works wit Vista etc).

Anyone got this problem solved under Vista? If yes, please post your solution!

Edit: I downgraded to my good old SVN 17500, and the TV Card is working now (clean Vista SP1 installed, TT-S2-3200 with 5.0.0.12 driver) after standby. Scheduled recordings also work, even NFTA channels. Without any extra tools or batch files.

    Edit:
Can it be that Vista Service Pack 1 cures the TT Driver standby problem? It works for me.
