I found a nice feature in XBMC that allows you to add the theme song for TV series from the televisontunes.com web site. Is this something that could be added to the Tvseries plugin in a future release?

:D

That's an existing request, so please 'star' the issue @ http://code.google.com/p/mptvseries/issues/detail?id=236

Just be patient on updates, as not every request is 'that' easy to implement or high on the priority list (the 'stars' help on deciding that). Of course if you are talented in C# then please jump in and grab the open sourced project to help out.

Hehe I thought about it one week ago.
Would be enough if MpTvSeries would playback a theme.mp3 in the series folder.
    This is what Plex does.

So everyone could put the file by himself / herself into the folder and everything is fine. :)

If we can believe the Plex documentation:
As long as the theme file is not longer than 30 seconds there is no copyright issue :p

But this may differ from country to country.

User created background music can be submitted to themes@plexapp.com . Submitted files will be previewed by the Plex team and the best background music will be chosen to be used by the scraper. At this time, one background music file will be used per TV show. The following guidelines must be met for the background music file to be considered:
Files must be in mp3 format only.
The file must not be longer than 30 seconds. Any files even a little over 30 seconds will be returned to the sender to be corrected. This restriction is based on copyright rules and is not an arbitrary number.
Do not include music fades at the beginning and end of the file.
File name must be TV Show Name - TVDBID.mp3 (example: Lost - 73739.mp3)
Files must not be less than 128 kbps or exceed 256 kbps.
Email file to themes@plexapp.com with a brief description of the file and why you are submitting it if it is a duplicate

I made some updates to the Wiki page describing the <import> and <include> tags, including adding a couple of new xml examples. For the first example, I highlighted the example text and eventually found the location in the menus where I could select the CODE macro to have the example text formatted as a code example. So far, so good...

yes that is indeed what I did in that ticket. It may already be working without updating those plugins because most of it was not relevant to the plugin itself (test, some leftover unused parts etc).

I don't think so, because MP has no way of knowing at which timestamp the external player stopped playback. Best way to achieve this would be to use an auto-resume feature in your external player itself. (MPC-HC can do that, I don't know about VLC)
