I need to have MP2 client installed on Computer A as well?

That's not necessary; any client can create global media sources.
But my recordings are located on c drive on Computer A without creating a network share or installing MP2 Client on Computer A I don't understand how to make it work? I did get it to work by sharing the recordings folder on Computer A and then adding a global network share on Computer B. Would be nice if it was possible to add shares on the server even without the client installed.

Another question, is subtitles in TV supported yet?

You don't need to create a network share, even for files on the C drive. MP2 will make the files available to all clients via an internal web server.

I'm starting to feel kind of dumb now, but I just don't get it. I understand that ones the shares are created they will be available on all clients, I just don't understand how to add the share.

    My setup is as follows:
    Computer A
-MP2 server only with TVE 3.5
    Computer B
    -MP2 client only

Based on your answers I get the impression that I should be able to create a global share on Computer B even though the recorded tv folder (that I want to create a share of) is located on Computer A's C Drive? If this is actually possible I need step by step instructions, sorry!

I've updated the SlimTV NativeTV plugin for latest 10th AE release and published it to our download section. You can install the official release and simply add this plugin.

@MrTechno Thanks, I briefly looked through the wiki before but I missed the part where it says that for global shares the localresource provider will show you hdd's attached to the mp2 server not the client. So when I saw the c drive I assumed it was on the machine with mp client (I never expanded the drive to see the folder structure) not the c drive of the server. Works perfectly now.

I read in the release notes that "SlimTV plugin (both NativeTV and MPExtended) has been significantly improved since Alpha 4 release" is there a changelog?

And how about dvb and teletext subtitles in TV, are they supported yet?

@johnzered thanks for the feedback it's definitely worth making that clear in the wiki that the local drives you see in a global media source are the local drives of the server.

There are no more changes since the release of the latest snapshot. The plugin is only compiled against 10th AE, thats why there is no further changelog.
