Before I go any further I want to strongly recommend that you use the "update satellite list" button before scanning. That button downloads the latest tuning details from our server and should ensure that you've got up-to-date and correct tuning details. It is a million times better than scanning with out-of-date tuning details, discovering channels are missing, then trying to fill the gaps with manual scans as you appear to be doing.

If you have to resort to manual scans for some reason I'd recommend King Of Sat for the tuning details:

Your logs seem to show that you're succeeding in getting some of the channels you mentioned, for example Channel 4 HD:

I see that you tried and failed to get ITV HD. Your attempt failed because of incorrect tuning parameters, particularly modulation.
For DVB-S (QPSK) use "not set".
For DVB-S2 QPSK use "QPSK" (not "QPSK (DVB-S2)").
For DVB-S2 8 PSK use "8 PSK" (not "8 PSK (DVB-S2)").

Ideally you'd also set the pilot and roll-off values (DVB-S2 only). They're critical for some tuners but can be difficult to find the right values. If in doubt use pilots = on and roll-off = 0.35.

Thank mm. I had tried the update satellite list before posting my query and trying the manual scan. I will run though this again and update once done.

All sorted now. All the issues were on DVB-S2 detections. Using mm's recommended settings for the pilots and roll-off a mixture of both "QPSK & 8 PSK (DVB-S2) I got them to work. If I chose just 8 PSK it could detect the channel but not play them.

Your logs are interesting for a couple of reasons:

1. Your tuner is recognised as a Prof tuner instead of a TBS tuner.
2. When you tune with 8 PSK the Prof plugin converts that to "8 PSK (DVB-S2)" internally... so I find it very surprising that tuning with 8 PSK doesn't work.

On point 1: I don't understand why this would be the case. It is possible that TBS have not updated the drivers for their older products to expose the interfaces documented in their SDK. However, the latest driver for your tuner (which you're using) seems to have been released in late 2013, so it seems like TBS are still maintaining the driver.

I have one Question. Does this Plugin work together with the MDAPI Filter? I tried to do this like in Mediaportal 1 and registered mdapifilter, but it doesnt seems to work. Has anyone did it and give me some tips?

Hello,

I am trying to use a HDHomerRunner Prime box, as my cable company encrypts channels so i now need a Cablecard to decrypt. I have had the box for a long time now.

For the life of me, i cannot get slimTV to see the tuner. I have tried using many different "applications" from Hdhomerunners perspective, but it does not detect anything.

I just downloaded everything today, running a fresh install of Windows 8.1 with all updates.

Any suggestions?

As far as I know Native TV for MP2 doesn't have cable card support yet
But it will come in one of the following versions.
