Just consider the amount of tuner cards you may need for all these simultanious TV shows. That might give the total price just the needed bump towards the world beyond sanity. The idea though... just look at your remote and click the show you'd like to see. :)

That would be nice for any EPG, but really now. Lets get realistic. To have that many streams going at once would require a fiber connection, maybe in a super wealthy home it could be done - after all anything is possible if you can through enough money at the problem!

Well, truthfully, couldn't you just switch between channels one by one and grab a preview frame? It wouldn't be live framerate, but I don't think that is so important for channel changing?

Not saying this is practical in any way, just pointing out you wouldn't really need a tuner card for each screen in that picture.

Using the "HID" tab, you can: Customise your remote control, and/or Customise your keyboard. Select one or both devices, and then pick the config that you are going to use...

To be fair the normal uninstall is usually more than sufficient. I regularly uninstall and reinstall MP 1 as part of the testing process and only very rarely have I needed to use the manual procedure posted by @CyberSimian to overcome the error you ran into. I also believe there is a procedure to repair the MySQL install in the event...
