just tried out myfilms and as far as I can tell it relies on an existing movie database file for importing movies rather than scanning the media folder, I dont have any sort of movie cataloging software so i'm not even able to add any movies to it.
If you could supply an xml supported by the plugin I could see how much further I could get

you mean not using it as a theme? so selecting 'default' theme would still give you round covers?

yes you could, just copy the files into the main streamedmp folder, cant think of any benefit of doing that though. better to keep it as a theme, if you have any problems with the skin you wont know if it's an issue with the skin or the modded files.

you may also have problem with official skin updates as well

only thing I can think of that would make the cd oval is wrong resolution or your MP is not full screen, make sure you are at 1920x1080 and MP is full screen, no task bar at the bottom etc.

You can see that the dvd logo is misplaced.

And how can I get rid of that ugly, not responding to music, equaliser Or maybe you can get rid of it anyway

Hi, I'm not getting the misplaced/double movie logo, does this happen all the time or after certain steps?

You can remove the equalizer in MP config, under the music tab somewhere, choose none. are you using Pure audio plugin? if you are that will be why it doesn't respond
