i dont know because at the moment i use mp 1.3. but i had this problem with mp 1.4

Seems like this issue is not fixed in 1.5, at least at my system its like before... (Upgraded from 1.5 pre)

since default wide is a "default" skin it would be very nice if one of the developers can say something about that. it seems the problem still persist. will this be fixed in one of the next mp versions or maybe with a updated xml skin file (for mp 1.5)?

This problem has nothing to do with skin files, it´s the implementation of comskip markers.
The respective dev has already the solution, so it will be in MP 1.6
