Hello everybody!

This is a Mirroring App for the Zalman HD 160XT but it also mirrors other Systems.
I use it on my Zalman HD160 and it is so fast that I can watch TV on the Touchscreen!

If you don´t have a Zalman HD160 you can not use the Fancontrol and IR-Trans of this App
but the Mirroring works also on my Laptop.

There is also a trial that works 1 hour.

* I've been strugling for a while with my cfg especially when I turn off and on of my TV (hooked up by HDMI) and then loosing the screen cfg. Does this sound familiar and will help this software to solve this?
* Do you know if it works on Vista, I've seen you're running XP?

I can confirm that this software is working!
Just tested it with my touch screen in 1024x768 resolution together with my projection screen in 1280x720p and it worked quite well actually. Way much better than this Touch Screen plugin did...
With this software my touchscreen became useable and depending on what settings you have it makes it either Faster but with less quality or Slower with better quality.

As i want to have my Touch Screen wallmounted the Quality is quite important as there is no fun to have an for always integrated monitor in the wall that looks ugly. Also the function of course is very important.
With High Quality settings enabled it made the Touch Screen updates much slower, but there was NO PROBLEM to navigate, so this was great.
The only "problem" i had was that when playing a movie it made my PRIMARY screen to slow down and lagging. This made it unusable for me!

Maybe it would work if there was some way to make it to play videos ONLY on the Primary screen as this is not necessary to show on the Touch Screen.
And probably this would be smoother and faster depending on what SIZE the Secondary screen is forced to show as 1024x768 is quite big to update with great picture quality and also have a great frame rate.

Also there may be some settings I could do to make this more smoother. But not what i could find out right now.

What settings do you have SChris?

Give it a try, there is a free test version to download.
It did work with my projection screen turned off and only having my Touch Screen turned on so i supose it would work for you.

Give it a try, there is a free test version to download.
It did work with my projection screen turned off and only having my Touch Screen turned on so i supose it would work for you.

I've tried the software, but found out that its really been written for HD160XT and not for HD160XT plus (the one I have). Allthough I've understood that, I was given it a try, but was not able to turn off the Fan part and coudn't test the mirroring

I've raised the question at the google group D-HD160XT-C, or does somebody else has ideas!?

Till know no progress (but I've seen you're other post, and will give it a think if its working for me aswell).

Thats because the software is using COM3 as default and isn't changeable.
I had the same problem and i just changed the COM port in device manager to be COM3...

Hello,

I have a HD160XT plus

I have tried the original plugin of this post without much success, my main problem was with the interface and the fact that it would not restart from a standby

I have also tried the cloning feature of the ATI Catalyst, no success either.

Finally, I have just tried the D-HD160XT-C but the program enter a loop trying to open the COM3 (I think). Too bad! I have requested to enter the Google group to see if I could join my request to others.

2 questions:
- PussyWagon, you mentioned changing the COM port in device manager, how do you do that? Is this on a HD160XT plus or other hardware?
- SChris, you mentioned that you managed to get the mirroring working on your Laptop: how did you achieve this?

The only thing I am after really, is cloning the screen so that I can use Mediaportal for my music without switching the TV on...

I made some progress using the D-HD160XT-C: thinking that the problem was with the COM3 setup and that device manager only lists COM1, I did the following:

Export the complete registry
Create a copy of the registry export
In the copy, global find and replace COM1 for COM3
Import the edited registry, ignoring the warnings
Restart windows
Start the D-HD160XT-C (NOTE: I downloaded the V 1.1.1 given that V 1.2 says FOUND A BUG in this version: the display mirror could not work)
I did not install neither the IrTrans hd160xt.xml file and I followed the installation/config guide
Presto, I've got the screen cloning OK . No fan control but I leave the mobo to take care of them.
I have tried the High quality mode but as reported previously it seems to slow down and drop frames from the HDTV when playing movies. I switched it off and the quality seems pretty good.

I'll play again with it and think that I'll go for the donator's version

Hi,

Just adding a note from PussyWagon who confirmed the required change to COM3 to get the looping error away:

In XP (may be the same in Vista)

Device Manager
Ports (COM & LPT)
Communication Ports (COMx) (NOTE: Was COM1 in my case)
Right Click - Properties
Tab - Port Settings
Advanced
At the bottom: COM Port Number - Set it to COM3
OK - OK

I think this a better way to do it than my registry hack

now, i see only one row, but i think some displays are big enough to
show more as one row.

i ve made a scetch: Top-Left shows the plugin now, and buttom-right is my target.
