Trakt for MP2 (4 Viewers)

Did you press the sync button in the setup dialog?

No, I didn't. Actually I thought that synching would be automatic and taking place at each start of the client. The dialogue is misleading as it says "Sync to Trakt". Renaming this to "Sync with Trakt" might be better.

After installing TC187 I wanted to synch but then get the message "Authorize first". I tried to authorize and had issues. Leaving the dialogue end reentering it displays "Authorization successful" but another click on "Sync" throws the same "Authorize first" at me. So something is not working with the reauthentication process, which you had fixed a few weeks ago.

Could you try to delete the settings file MediaPortal.UiComponents.Trakt.Settings.TraktSettings.xml located here:
c:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MP2-Client\Config\[user]\
and clear the cache folder by removing the library directory :
c:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MP2-Client\Trakt\[user]\Library\

After that, authorize again. If this does not work, post or send me the client log.

No such directory

After that, authorize again. If this does not work

No "Authorization successful" message although the credentials are saved in the config file. Clicking "Sync" asks for authorization.

I tried this while watching the client logs
Authorization did work, Sync did not work.
When going back to the home screen, nothing showed up under Movies or Audio.
Checking each of these resulted in Nothing Showing.

Quit the Client and went back into the Client, everything reappeared.

Mmh, I installed TC#189 and then went into the Trakt configuration panel, which displayed "Authorization successful". No way to enter new credentials - I had to delete the Trakt setting file first before the system acknowledged the authorization. This might just be a misleading user GUI but you may want to take a second look at the situation where for whatever reason you would like to re-authenticate.

I then click on Sync and saw the rotating cursor. Synchronization worked and watch logos were now displayed in line with my true watch status on Trakt.

Note to @ge2301 : Should we consider to display "Unwatched" icons rather than indicate the watch status? IN reality the number of unseen movies and episodes is likely to be much smaller than the already watched and displaying an unwatched status reduces unnecessary visual load.

We discussed it several times in the past and concluded to show watched flags. This is also how other HTPC softwares handle it mostly. Additionally an unwatched flag looks very ugly because of the strike out. Watched and partly watched seem also more consistent than unwatched and partly watched.

Great! How about scrobbling? Does it work for you? If you play a movie/episode does the trakt.tv page display that you're are currently watching a movie/series (red progress bar on the trakt.tv site)?
