    Addendum:
It seems that is has nothing to do with the DVBViewer. If I restart the machine, and then try to tune in to a scrambled channel (using TV Server Config -> Preview) I get the ChannelIsScrambled message.
If I then try to tune in again, it works fine.
Is there a kind of "Wait x seconds for Tuner" of "Retry to tune x many times" option?

    Hi Benjamin

I was going to say that the logs for successful and unsuccessful descrambling show the same "Problem: message length" messages. The commands sent to the tuner/CAM are identical so something else is the cause of the problems.

If I restart the machine, and then try to tune in to a scrambled channel (using TV Server Config -> Preview) I get the ChannelIsScrambled message.
If I then try to tune in again, it works fine.
    That is a good test.
Are you also able to test what happens if you preload the tuner and then wait for 15 seconds (or 30 or 45 seconds, etc.) whether descrambling works? The goal of that test would be to see whether the problem is that a delay is required or whether retries are required.

Is there a kind of "Wait x seconds for Tuner" of "Retry to tune x many times" option?
No, not at the moment. I have already considered adding those settings because other hardware handlers like TechnoTrend have them build in (unavailable for changing in TV Server configuration). Unfortunately this really has to wait until I have finished refactoring for all the other tuners (Hauppauge, TechnoTrend etc.) and merged all the work, otherwise it is just too hard to maintain. I have been refactoring for one brand at a time and I'm almost ready to merge - only have Prof and the WinTV CI to do. Hopefully the wait won't be too long. :)

    Hi mm.

Out of curiosity I decided yesterday evening to just try and record two episodes of Eureka and it worked just fine :D
I guess that means that it is simply a delay that's required, but I will test later today if I have the same effect again.

Thank you very much for your help so far!

    Hi there,

I have a question concerning the patches you wrote for the Technisat und the Terratec devices. What exactly is wrong with their BDA drivers?
1.3 is getting closer every day and sooner or later we need to argue with the support.

Thanks for your work on patching the TVLibrary.dll.
Please keep on patching for upcoming MP-versions as I wouldn't be able to use my Technisat DVB-C Combo HD USB-Device with newest MP-versions any more and I don't expect Technisat to update their drivers any more...
