Some of my Freeview channels are getting increased dropout or are non existent.
So is there a way (using MP) to check the TV signal strength on each channel while adjusting the aerials alignment,

If you use a remote, you can start playing the channel. Then click the info button on your remote, a menu will pop up. Click the info button again and another menu will appear. Look for "tuning" and click that. (Note, if you don't have a remote with that key, there might be a keyboard key that brings up the menus)

I note that you are using MP2. The following applies to MP1, but I think that MP2 is identical in this situation. "TV Server Config" has a "TV Mapping" panel in the "TV Channels" section. On the "TV Mapping" tab: The left column lists the channels that have not yet been mapped to the TV tuner identified by the drop-down menu just...

Sadly, it seems that development of MP2 has come to a stop. Perhaps it will restart in the future. Meanwhile... MP1 has a "Tuning Details" panel that displays signal strength, signal quality, and picture resolution. It is updated in real time when viewing a channel: However, perhaps you are already aware of this, but prefer MP2...

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ? MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback. If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...

OK, I now understand your post (I have reproduced that behaviour on my test system). If you create a channel group for HD channels (and no others), then when that group is the active group and you select a future programme in the EPG, you were expecting the "Upcoming Episodes" panel to show only episodes broadcast on channels in that...
