I think, at the very least, grab EPG from DVB stream should default to off? It seems to cause problems for quite a few people. But perhaps having it on as default is a way to make it easier to configure for some people who have access to the EPG in the DVB stream...

The issue used to exist but was resolved a while ago (for me at least). Now it seems it is back. I got it for the first time on my downsrtairs PC as well on the weekend.

I also have the Grab function turned off, as all Australians should, since we don't have EPG in our data streams.

For me, this message doesn't break tv. I just have to press the ok button on the message and then the tv comes back properly.

    Hi,
I had this for couples of days, especially about 30 minutes (this is also my buffer time) after TV starts with Timeshift on.
Closed MP went to the TV folder witch contains the “Timeshift bufferâ€, there was lots of small files in it, deleted everything and run defrag, & the problems seems to be gone for now.

    Regards

I also do not believe this is related to the EPG grab for the majority of us as I have seen this error with that option on or off.

    Marcusb,

Just as an aside the EPG grab from the DVB stream does work for us Aussies, least it did in a CVS of about a week and a half ago which I tried when trying to fix this issues. It worked very nicely but of course only for now & next.

You are correct though it didn't work in the plain vanilla RC2.

    Regards

    Pete

Agreed. I had this problem consistently with my two cards (Compro DVB-T300 and Avermedia A777). A week ago I disabled the Compro card in the MediaPortal configuration and the problem hasn't happened since.

I'm almost certain that the system is stable when just the Compro card is enabled, so to me it appears to be a multi-card issue.

Cool, good to know that at least the Now and Next works in DTV EPG.
I had given up on it a long time ago. Still sucks that it is just now and next though.

As for the multi tuner issues, I don't think this is the case. My upstairs PC has this issue and it only has a single tuner card (Dvico).

Where would I find the tv folder which contains the timeshift buffer, so I can clean this out and defrag as suggested by ronilse?

the timeshift buffer lives in a folder in the location you have specified for recordings. MP Config>TV>Capture Cards>Edit
