You need to look at the device ID of the Capture Card and then edit the CaptureCardsDefinitions.xml file in the Media Portal directory.

Look here: Add TVCard to natively supported list - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation

However, if you install Media Portal RC1 it should detect the tv card automatically and you won't need to go through the above steps.

If you are planning on just using the DVB-T component of the card you should be fine. BUT, if you want to use the analog component of the card (for tuning to analog tv or for attaching external devices to the cvbs/svhs port) you will most likely encounter problems getting it to work. The analog component of the card is not supported by Media Portal, and it doesn't have a hardware MPEG encoder.

If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...

4.5 is really old. I'm not sure 4.5.5 even is a version that actually existed. You should be able to install .NET Framework 4.8.0 on Windows 7 SP1

The only configuration that is certain to work is when the MP client and MP server are from the same release. It is sometimes possible to use MP clients from a release that is different to the MP server, but whether it works depends on the specific changes that were made between the two releases. -- from CyberSimian in the UK
