Is there a player that has to be installed separate from the package?

No, its just that the player fails when trying to load the source filter - this is usually caused by issues with the VC packages, can you post some fresh logs to see of there's any change. Maybe @morpheus_xx can offer some further insight

Ok..Dependency Walker Tool shows GPSVC.DLL and IESHIMS.DLL missing
It did want me to install IE11 earlier with one of the redistribution files but I declined to do so as I normally use Chrome. IS it possible that IE11 has these DLL files and I really have to install it??
