Just tried starting tv when in debug mode and it will not start, Works as expected on a normal start.

I don't see anything in these logs to indicate that you tried starting TV. It looks as though you tried to play a video (28 Days Later.avi) a couple of times, but no errors.

I tried the video because I was having a problem with volume in tv (see my other post) and wanted to check if it was ok when playing a film, I'll run debug again and only try to start tv...

O.K I've started MP in debug mode, When trying to select tv from basichome all icons fade away and return in around .5s (same effect as trying to select a plugin that's not installed). Hit tv 5 times to be sure and got the same result every time, No big deal because it wont affect day-to-day running but I thought I would report it anyway. As always tv started immediately after a normal start.

You appear to only have the 4TR TV plugin.
    Code:

yes

yes

When launching in debug mode via the start menu then all third party plugins will get disabled.

It appears look at this that the TV plugin is not actually installed (or the 4TR install has made it look like it does not appear)

I do not know why this xml was in my theme folders, it must have sneaked in some time ago (years?). I simply removed the file. The Latest Media Handler plugin seems to be working as expected. I've had no lock-ups.

@CyberSimian Sorry, I missed your last post. I ended up doing a clean install on the client and all is well now. It still doesn't let me go back in time when I change channels but it does continue operating from that point on. I'm ok with that. Thanks for your help! EDIT: I now downgraded the server (as I did with the client above)...

100% my bad - as expected :) So, I had disabled the Windows Update service. Not a wise move, until MP all installed and working nicely. The reason it failed is because DotNetFrameworkChecker.cs looks in Registry HKLM SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\NET Framework Setup\\NDP for v4/v4.0 AND v3.5. W10 has V4.0 but not 3.5. MP installer...

I noticed there's an updated Visual C++ Runtime (14.50.35710), maybe try to reinstall the runtimes? That's what fixed the issue when I tried 1.38.1
