? I don´t want a Hint for Installation. :) That´s not the Problem. The Problem is , i have Freezer on the Client(Win7). Is the TVCard pluged into the Client, it works perfekt. Is the TV Card pluged into the Server i have Freezer, sometimes after some minutes, or immediately. Lan is an 1GB LAN,Server has 10% CPU Load. Question -> The GrapicCard ist not important to looking Streams in SD,HD for the Tv-server ?
What kind of error could it be?

is the card a firewire device ?

if so make sure, you use the ohci 1394 LEGACY driver...

    that might help...

I installed the OHCi konform 1394 Hostcontroller Driver.Jepp FloppyDTV Firewire.
At Time i had another Problem, the at last importet Channels can't delete.
The Message "Deleting Channels" are still there and nothing Happens.
The Background is i want to do a New Channel Scan. Perhaps is that the Solution.

I am trying to get tv-server to work in windows server 2008 R2, but i have some problems getting it to work.

It says I need windows media player under the install of tv-server, but i cant find it for server 2008.

How about mysql? It seems to download the 32 bit version and not the 64 bit version.

    And finaly, theese steps:

    1. check which network is activated for your network-card (private or public)
    2. switch out the firewall that matches your network configuration (private or publi

Can someone please explain this a bit more detailed?

The mysql version doens't matter but i use 32 bit and it works well. To install media player under server 2008 you need to install the 'desktop experience pack' at the server manager (at the features menu). How to disable the firewall, i think you can manage that ;). otherwise i would recommend you to use win xp or 7 instead.

Another thing you need is BDA drivers for you tv card. How to extract these from windows 7 is told somewhere before. If you have a hard time searching them, pm me ;).

Thank you so much for youre reply:)

I already have a server running 2008 r2 and I want to use this as my tv-server sending tv-signal to my other computers and managing recordings.

I found the bda drivers here

win2008workstation.com • View topic - TV Card (BDA Hardware Support)

Do I have to turn off the firewall, or can I open a specified port?

One last thing. Will digital everywere floppyDTV C work with the bda driver I have downloaded, and how about terratec cinergy c?

Cincergy C will work, I am using it :p the floppyDVT should work also. I think that those BDA drivers will work, it is a bit tricky, some does work, some does not work. Don't know the difference but i guess it is becasue of 32/64 bit and vista/7.
I have the firewall disabled since i 'm using a dedi firewall. I think you can also open some ports but i don't know the numbers. I'm sure someone else knows.

Hmmm, CAM module or smartcard might be broken.

Didn't you forgot to tell mediaportal that there is a CAM module present? (click on you tv card, click edit and check the upper checkbox).

When I put tv-card with cam back in my windows 7 computer it works fine, but when it is in my server 2008 r2 computer i still get the "channel is scrambled message. Radio do work, but no tv.

Cam is enabled. I have the exactly same settings in tv-server config on booth computers.

Do I need codecs or graphic card installed on the server running tv-server? I use it only as a tv-server and have clients were I have Mediaportal running.

At the guide I have a problem with this step, maybe thats is the problem?

Now look again in the "Setup BDA.bat" file and look on top. There should be a folder in the copy path, named "bda.inf_57d991b5"

I cant locate anything inside the .bat file that is named bda.inf_57d991b5.....

Log files can be found here if someone can take a look at them:)

It seems like my CAM cant be started when using windows server 2008 r2.

Have anyone else had this problem using the FloppyDTV card?
