Thanks for the series and episode filtering expressions.

I can now set up all my shows, more importantly the wifes shows to record the current series and future series automatically, excellent!

There seems to be a bug in MPs onscreen keyboard when using the "<" and ">" symbols. What happens is that these can not be input and instead act as cursor forward/back. You may need to use another symbol for series/episode >= or <= expressions. Suggest using + and - as in +3 for shows >= 3 and -3 for shows <= 3.

The test version includes
- Expressions for Serienumber and Episodenumber
Expression needs to be separated by a comma. The following format is supported:
1-3 will match for series or episode number 1,2 or 3
>5 will match for all numbers larger or equal 5
<3 will match for all numbers smaller or equal 3
7 will match only for number 7
A match is valid if within the expressions at least one confition is true e.g. 1-4, 6,>8 will match for all numbers besides 5 and 7.

For what is this ? What can i do with this feature ?

Example: I have American Dad series 1 on DVD but nothing else. I can create a wish to only record American Dad with Series >1 so that it does not record shows i already have on dvd from the tv.[DOUBLEPOST=1343764234][/DOUBLEPOST]Huha
I am pleased about the >x episode search, thanks. If you recall I already tried that a while ago and it didn't work! I currently only use the tv server plugin so will not have the same problem as Pog but generally speaking i think the MP keyboard is a bit poor anyway so perhaps that should be improved rather than your plugin!

I don't understand what the check epg before each schedule does but it may be the way i load my epg data. I run an epg update once a day and then run your plugin after that.

Maybe the over-the-air DVB-T epg grabbing is continuous/more regular? Then I could understand what it is for. For it to be useful to me it would need to trigger an external epg grabber program (XMLTV GUI) followed by the TVWishList code. (Note, I am not asking for it! I am happy with once a day)

Episode number filtering does not seem to be working at all.

I tried setting a series number and a episode number but the search scheduled all shows for that series and ignored the episode filter.

Will do some more digging...

unfortunately the "-" is used already in the expression. Any other proposals instead of < and > ?
On the filter issue can you provide a log file with one example (verbose on)?

Ah ok I forgot you were using the "-" for ranges. There are not that many symbols available on the MP keyboard. I think using "+" and "-" are the logical choice for >= and <= , I suggest using "*" for ranges.

I'll get you some logs for episode filtering.

Noticed this in the error.log

TvWishList EpgClass: Exception in filter episode number - Message=Input string was not in a correct format.

I set up a wish for "The Middle" with episode number filter "5" and no filter for series.

New Release 1.2.3.3

I have released 1.2.3.3 with the following changes:
1.2.3.3:
– bug fix of recording counter not being reset preventing a new EPG search
– no more checking existence of user password and username
– bug fix for schedule conflicts (found by foxbenw)

This version fixes the major issues from version 1.2.3.0 and has been shown to be very stable.
I am not aware of any severe bug. It gives me time to continue with the new features from the latest test versions and make them stable.

As a new user, I have a few suggestions. No complaints intended!

The plugin's name does not do it justice! It's far more. I'm not sure the effects a new name might have, but I think you should consider it. Some people will not explore it enough to realize it's value.

Personally, I don't care for the animated list.

I don't understand the purpose of "view" mode or what it does. Is it a "reminder" mode?

I think some options and commands should removed. Those that have no bad effect should just be done. Perhaps expert mode would not.

I use View Only mode as a way of getting suggestions for upcoming shows that I might want to record.

Currently I use it for HD Movies, Documentarys and anything Sci-Fi related. To get you going I've included some screenshots of my setup. If I see a show I like I use the once-off schedule or if it is a series I create a new wish, very useful.

Care to elaborate on this? There is some stuff I don't use like email but I do think that the MP way is to give users as much choice as possible and let them choose.

Testversion 1.2.3.6 is out which should fix the episodenumber and seriesnumber expressions. I am using now the syntax 1-3,+5,-10

Pog, please try again. i have only limited debug capabilities. I also started Tvserver language support (so far only in english).
This version is not fully tested yet.
foxbenw, yes the x minutes before a schedule is thaught for people who are doing continues EPG updating. I will think about the option to start a script or program in addition.
