Has anyone tried running the TV Server under VMWare? It looks like it should be possible using USB tuner cards. I'd like to try but I only have PCI tuner cards now. Thanks.

I'll soon have a linux box at home with lots of disk & cpu to spare. It would be nice for me to run TV Server there and have my 2 TV3 clients go to S3 suspend while they are not in use.

i have successfully run TV server in a VmWare maschine, using an Terratec Cinergy Hybrid T XS USB tuner (only the DVB-T part worked)

i have done this to test the multi server feature.

So this is working? I'm considdering setting up a machine that runs two virtual OSs, one for TV-Server, and one for managing databases and downloading. And recomendations for Xeon CPUs for this machine?

I currently have two Quatros running, one connect, one duo using OTA antennae, mostly UHF fringe area, mostly cat5 local network. Hauppauge card retired long ago. I have also retired very early SD units, the Quatros seem to work much better than the older units. Go to SD's support website and download and install the windows...
