My SVN is as of September 19th and I have the same problem. I'm going to try the very latest SVN this week.

Can anyone help with this?

I wonder what causes Tvsever to fail to see that a programme has finished and no longer needs recording? It's a pretty serious problem!

same problem here with rev16081.

no logs available currently since service crashed this night.

it also records to duplicate files! each file gets referenced in the db, to, so I have the same show recorded multplie times, even though only one never stops and the other only contains a few minutes of the show. this does not occur won all schedules and/or tv stations, but currently only on one (pro sieben).

Just happened to me again last night; TVserver did a 12 hour recording. And that was with the latest svn..

I'm gonna have to give up with Tvserver now and go back to the standard mediaportal. TVserver is just too unreliable still. Will try it again in a few months...

Why not simply help the team by digging out this bug ?
Giving up now doesn't make the bug disappear.

Supply us some logs that are worth something.

I would like to see a complete log of both client and server.
Also I expect to see ppl running latest tvserver - there has already been some fixed regarding recording.

Is this only happening for single seaters ?

I take your point but no one has offered to help until now.. I didn't know which logs were useful (I'm not an MP expert)..

I've already deleted everything now and gone back to basic Mediaportal, perhaps someone else whose still having the problem can post their logs, maybe Elf?

Perhaps I was a little impatient, apologies.

I found something in the code that was a little fishy.
Plz try tomorrows build and report back.

Remember - I haven't been able to reproduce it myself.

Hi guys, sorry I've been away and not monitoring the forum.

In short, I haven't any more worthwhile logs as I haven't had the opportunity to run some more tests - will do very soon and will post all the logs I can find here!

Will also try latest SVNs (as I generally do before each try anyway).

    :D

gibman, out of curiosity, what was the "fishy" thing you found in the scheduler code?
I have finally bitten the bullet and downloaded sources to try and help with this one and am still at the stage of fathoming out what's going on in there!

Wish someone would supply full log's.

The problem comes in if only a few people have the problem, myself recordings are there usual size, this is using svn from Sunday and setting up multiple recordings, some overlapping, some on same mux, just trying to screw system up so maybe something out of the norm may happen, but everything so far is peachy.

This is where the Dev's problems lie, nothing is consistant on every system.

Hope fully this will get sorted one way or another.

    Regards
