There still seems to be an issue with the combination of the TVGemist plugin and the PureAudio plugin. With some programs I sound but no picture. It looks as if the "must see" pograms work but the rest don't. I had hoped this would be solved in this version since the fix suggested by the PureAudio author was implemented in this version but unfortunately I still get a black image sometimes.

I've been keeping myself busy by working on the Xface skin for TVGemist. It's not too complicated, so I think I'll finish it within a few days. When it's done I'll post it here.

I don't know what happens. Is the PureAudio plugin trying to play the stream? Are there any useful log messages?

Great, thanks. I'll add it to the MPI when you're done.

I have attached the logfile. I played two streams. The first one (NOS journaal) was started from the 'must see' page and played okay. The second one (onder de tram) I chose from the menu an that one only had sound and no picture. I noticed the following lines in the log:

2007-12-29 15:07:19.750000 [Info.][MPMain]: g_Player.OnStarted() http://cgi.omroep.nl/cgi-bin/stream...OVERZICHT/7Jnl_1228_Jaaroverz/bb.20071228.asf media:Video

2007-12-29 15:07:44.937500 [Info.][MPMain]: g_Player.OnStarted() http://cgi.omroep.nl/cgi-bin/streams?/tv/vara/onderdetram/bb.20061114.asf media:Music

It looks as if MP (or one of the plugins) decides that the seconds stream only contains audio. This is of course not the case.

Exactly...I'll see if I can do something about it. I was thinking of making different kinds of calls to g_Player, which can be customized in the configuration dialog. This way you can find out which call works for you :)

Thanks! Very good idea.

Xface skin for TVgemist

Moiristo (and anybody else who's interested), here's the Xface skin for TVgemist. Nothing fancy, just an adaptation of the BlueTwoWide skin. Please include them in the next .mpi, to make it an easy benefit for others.

Hi,

First of all, this is a great plug in, works very well. On question I do have, Since where I live the connection can be a bit buggy. would it be an idea/posiibility to either have some flexible buffer in place or to be able to locally store the program before playing. Currently it basically only really works when usin 300k, which is ok, but not that great to watch.

Thanks for the reply

imo, buffering input is the responsibility of the video player that is playing the stream. There might be a dshow filter that can do this before sending it to the output filter. There might be a way however to download whole emissions, I'll see whether this is feasible..

    My analysis of the log: There is still a call to g_Player.Play() somewhere. The second stream was played using that call and indeed picked up by PureAudio.
