Anyone tried this fix for the problem? I am away from my home system at the moment so can't test it myself.

https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...325/patch-fix-no-pmt-pmt-timout-errors-67487/

How can i install these Patches, i find nothing about in the Wiki and nothing in the Forum. So pls help me with some Tut or an link ;)

Misleading post on my part - the link points to a thread in the "Development" forum and not really intended for the general public, so to speak. I am hopeful that the associated testing will lead to a proper patch for us ordinary mortals to use in due course. I would certainly like to go back to MP from DVBviewer which is what I have to use at the moment.

The "Auto-Update Channel" part of the software you mention is what is being implemented at the moment.

Thanks - it's nice to know that work on a solution seems to be getting towards a fix. Appreciate the effort from the developer community.

I thought there is a easy way to integrate those patches and i there is nothing to loose because my tv server doesnt work and the Tv Server of the Alpha doesnt work too. But i see i have to be patient, maybe ill try to freeze myself like Eric ;)

Yesterday, I moved my TV Server from an Analog/DVB-C combination to DVB-S. Since then, I also have PMT timeout problems.
I spent the better part of yesterday trying to investigate. I already increased the time from 10s to 15s and completely disabled EPG grabbing. It seems that TV will only work one time after TV server startup (and I mean boot, not TV service start). Once I close the MP client, reopen it and try to access it for the 2nd time, the error occurs. So maybe the problem lies with the actions during shutdown of the TV client?

I am running MP1.0.2. TV server runs on Windows Home Server (yes, I know, not supported, but the Analog/DVB-C combo ran fine) and two clients running Vista Home Premium. Therefore, I can't just try to upgrade to MP 1.1.0 alpha without investing lots of time.
TV log (cut to the relevant section) attached.

Can somebody help me or at least confirm I have the same problem as everybody else here (which would mean a fix is in the works)?

It looks like the same problem -problem is though it may not be the same cause!

People are getting these errors seemingly for a number of reasons and across different platforms.

Where you using the autotune for DVBC on the old set up or scanning from a .DVBC file and how are you scanning/tuning for DVBS - i only have DVBC here and the problem went away when i scanned from a .DVBC file rather than the autotune feature within MP.

Are the channels that do not work 24/7? I mean do they transmit 24/7?

I have the problem on all my channels, including 24/7. In the log I posted above I tried the same channel twice - first time it worked, second time it didn't.
