    Re: [Updated 30 Dec!] MPExtended WebMediaPortal 0.4.1

    Hi,

    I have exact the same issue, Win7x64 here, installed the full file ASP.NET MVC3 and using the built in IIS, can I be of help to trace this ? Or did you find the issue already ? Same resolution to get past by copying the folder, and not being able to save the settings. Additionally i Seem not to be able to stream anything (even Transcoding seem to start on the server. I am not sure if this is related.

    /Gompf
    Yeah, I think I found a solution for this. Can you try replacing C:\Program Files (x86)\MPExtended\WebMediaPortal\www\bin\MPExtended.Libraries.General.dll with the attached version? If not, please export your logs from the configurator and send them to me.

    I did not find a solution for this. However, the VLC plugin isn't compatible with any of my modern browsers. (at least not that I've found) So I haven't been able to test the VLC streaming aspect.
    Can you send me your logs please? Thanks!

    Re: AW: [Updated 30 Dec!] MPExtended WebMediaPortal 0.4.1

    hi,
    do i have to forward an other port as 8080 to access from internet?
    in local lan it works, but from internet i do not get a connection.
    portforwarding is ok. the other services like 4322 and 8017 for wifiremote work well

    thx

    Same here. Everything is working from within my network, but no access from outside.
    The logs from my router show the packets for port 8080 being forwarded to the host running MPextend, but I never get a response. No errors in the mpextend logs.
    Any ideas?

    Yes , you are right this fixes it. Great ! Thanks!
    Update: Was a bit too quick here now, I can login with this DLL, but i can not save any settings in the Settings Screen, they will be lost after pressing "Save".

    I will PM you the Logs. I looked into it a bit more in detail and checked with some tools, Streaming Starts on Mediaportal and all seems well, but it seems the wrapper does not start vlc.exe, thus no data being relayed into the pipe if i see this correctly, after the Web Player gives up sometime later the pipe get's disconnected.

    Re: [Updated 30 Dec!] MPExtended WebMediaPortal 0.4.1

    Hi Oxan.

    Have some more ideas/fixes for WebMediaportal

    -Save button on Settings tab should be more visible or larger
    -Quality dropdown menu should not have a button beside - When choosing other profile, player should switch instantly
    -Quality dropdown menu is a bit large
    -Anyway of changing the default setting on Direct player to "Enable Deinterlacing" - Tearing is awful:-(

    Feature requests:
    -When choosing to stream TV, it is very hard to switch between channnel - Too many clicks! Channel switching needs to be faster. May I suggest to have a channellist with a "group" dropdownbox above? (default gorup should be possible to choose in settings)
    -Possibility of streaming 2 channels in the same windows? Could be implemented through settings if TV-server has more than 2 TV-cards
    -Instant record button when Streaming Live TV
    -What about the generel WebMediaportal design? Any ideas about implementing "skins"? or make it more colorish?

    /Morten

    You have to configure the domain/IP you use it on in the C:\ProgramData\MPExtended\WebMediaPortalHosting.xml configuration file. Sadly it's not possible to automatically do that yet.

    That's ood. I'll try to reproduce it myself tomorrow.

    -Save button on Settings tab should be more visible or larger
    I'll make it a bit larger in the next version.
    -Quality dropdown menu should not have a button beside - When choosing other profile, player should switch instantly
    That's not possible without JavaScript and my javascript skills really are too limited to do this.
    -Quality dropdown menu is a bit large
    I'm not sure I can actually make it much smaller... Is it too high or too wide for your taste?
    -Anyway of changing the default setting on Direct player to "Enable Deinterlacing" - Tearing is awful:-(
    I'll add an setting for that.

    Feature requests:
    -When choosing to stream TV, it is very hard to switch between channnel - Too many clicks! Channel switching needs to be faster. May I suggest to have a channellist with a "group" dropdownbox above? (default gorup should be possible to choose in settings)
    I'll see what I can do about that.
    -Possibility of streaming 2 channels in the same windows? Could be implemented through settings if TV-server has more than 2 TV-cards
    Just open 2 browser windows.
    -Instant record button when Streaming Live TV
    Added to todo.
    -What about the generel WebMediaportal design? Any ideas about implementing "skins"? or make it more colorish?
    Skins probably won't happen, but Aredon is working on a great new layout.

    I also found that iis express does not allow external connections by default. Had to make a change to it's config file "applicationhost.config" located at "C:\Users\jowens\Documents\IISExpress\config"

    I had to remove localhost from the following entry:
    <bindings>
    <binding protocol="http" bindingInformation=":8080:localhost" />
    </bindings>

    External access is working now.

    Thanks
