    cybrmage,

did you get time to find why sometimes when MP starts with windows I have a "H/W disconnected" and a yellow exclamation point in IMON tray icon ?

This is the only issue as I greatly appreciate the new driver with all the DLL fixes and the EQ feature...but before the H/W error was not seen...

    Hello !

I have the same issue from several versions, but I thought it wasn't due to the driver  It happens sometime at startup and sometime during watching a movie (after one hour by exemple). My remote doesn't work anymore and I have to shut down the PC (by turning of power) to get my LCD&remote working again.

Here is an error log file I got during watching a movie.

Sorry, the complete log file is too big (3Mb when zipped), but reading this it seems to come from my remote plugin ... What is your opinion cybrmage ?

    Thanks.

No.. I have not been able to duplicate the problem...

My remote doesn't work anymore and I have to shut down the PC (by turning of power) to get my LCD&remote working again.

It appears (from the small piece of the log you posted) to be a problem with the keyboard input plugin... You'll need to chase down that bug...

    EQ not longer work

Sorry.... I left a debuggig switch in the code that disabled the EQ when BASS is upmixing...

    Here is a new version:

Changed: Various performance and readability tweaks.
Fixed: Eq did not work when upmixing was selected.

    cybrmage,

can you please build a test version for me that will look for a SG_VFDv3.DLL instead of SG_VFD.DLL if the "V3" option is enabled in the driver ?

I'm experiencing a lot of "HW disconnected" messages in iMON and when this happen I have a 0xfffffff firmware version displayed in imon itself. After a shutdown+220V cable remove I have a firmware version 0x80.

    Thanks in advance,

    Simone

    EDIT:

I found that the issue is mostly related to SG_RC.DLL because it seems that forcing the display type to VFD everything works.
Will try it again but maybe the SG_RC.DLL is related to teh SG_VFD.DLL loaded and this is the problem...

    Hi Cybrmage,

I discovered a slight error in your latest drivers (the ones who try to link to the dll in the IMON dir).
On my htpc all programs are installed on the D drive, so the imon software is in D:\Program Files\SOUNDGRAPH\IMON.
However, after getting error messages in configuration.log and an error every time I tried to open the advanced window in Mediaportal Configuration I saw that the driver is trying to link to SG_VFD.dll in C:\Program Files\SOUNDGRAPH\IMON, which off course isn't there.

After copying the dir from D to C, I got rid of the errors.

I think the solution is simple. When you check the registry keys for existence of the Antec of IMON software could you also check the key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\iMON.exe] (for IMON at least, don't know the one for Antec VFD), which has a Path value with the dir IMON is installed.
So that way you can always find the correct SG_VFD.dll

BTW, thanks for the great work on this driver.

    Greetings,

    Patrick

    Follow the instructions posted previously,
    2) delete the SG_VFD.dll that is in the MediaPortal directory.
    3) rename the SG_VFDv3.dll in the MediaPortal directory to SG_VFD.dll.
enable "Force V3" and it will use the V3 dll... The DLL MUST be named SG_VFD.dll... any other name WILL interfere with the iMON/VFD software (and you lose the ability to use the remote)

I'm experiencing a lot of "HW disconnected" messages in iMON
Sounds like you have a hardware problem rather than a software problem... try using the display on a different USB port, or maybe your USB cable is defective, or maybe the internal USB header adapter is flaky...

I found that the issue is mostly related to SG_RC.DLL
I don't think so.... I've been unable to duplicate the issue at all... and I use AutoDetect exclusively...

all programs are installed on the D drive
Yep... That was an oversight... I assumed that the system %ProgramFiles% directory was always used for the installation... oops... Thanks for pointing it out...

    Here is the updated version:

Fixed: routine for finding the installed Antec/SoundGraph software would fail if it was installed on a drive other than "C:\".

This is definitevly a MP issue because if I use my iMON remote without starting MP, like using MCE or WMP everything works for hours...

Take care that the issue can be related to Autodetect + V3 DLL...

It seems that I was using a old version ( 04-11-2007 ) and with the 09-11-2007 so far is fine.

Only a small extetic issue: if I force the display to VFD I have correctly the unusable options grayed out. Then Isave and coma back in the advanced screen: now the options are not grayed out.

Thanks cybrmage for your time and work on fixing all our issues...
