I have an Mstation HT-1000 with an iMon display.

You have an OEM iMON display made specifically for 3RSystems.... It is different from the other OEM iMON devices (1x13 display with a totally different set of custom icons...)

It is not supported by this driver.

Thanks for the reply cybrmage, thought it would be something like that.
Anyone know of any driver made for it that works for mediaportal?

try to uncheck the "use disk icon"

I've already unchecked with the same result.

    Hi cybremage!

here is the debug mode log. make a clean start (with some problems, had to start MP twice): display works... enable TV ... stop any media ... HTPC goes perfekt into standby and switch of display .. after resume MP is still present and the display is on again ... but if i try to enable TV the TV Server ist disable (in the TV-Server Setup reinit is enable)

    Hope you see any error

There isn't one... Like the iMON LCD, there is no official information available for interfacing with the display... All information for the LCD has been determined through reverse-engineering the driver... But, because the OEM LCD is used by several case manufacturers, they are more readily available... Since 3Rsystems is the ONLY manufacturer using their custom VFD, the number of people who have it available to them is small, thus the ability to get information is severely reduced.

However, You can try using the original iMON driver (set the parameters as 1 row x 12 columns) and see if it will drive the main display... Then let me know the results... If it doesn't work, I'll provide you a test version with it enabled in this driver... and we can see if that works...

When you say original iMon driver, what exactly do you mean? I've tried the iMon VFD Driver from external display-plugin. Although not with the 1x13 parameters. Will try it and get back to you.

Ok now I finally (?) made it to RC3 and latest svn. I was too curious to see the EQ and so on so I installed this.

Now the display is going bezerk. I am currently running MP RC3 with SVN 16511 (also tested with todays SVN16525 with same result) and iMONLCDg_11_12_2007b.

I have attached a picture of my LCD where you can see strange pixels and a lot of lit icons. The icons are also alternating and blinking in between.

I also tried to remove all ExternalDisplay*.xml files so I had no strange configuration left but no luck.
Also tried with Force graphic. No difference. Help! Have I missed anything?

    Also see my attached logfile.

    Hope you see any error

The log shows nothing.... pretty much only shows initialization and startup... no errors, no exceptions, no hibernation, no resume....

But... the iMON driver does not interact with the TVServer module... so I don't think it is the problem...

Try disabling the external display driver and duplicating the problem... If the problem persists, the problem is elsewhere... If the problem goes away, enable the external display plugin, enable extensive logging try to duplicate the problem, and post the logs...

    Hi Johan,
you have to limit the refresh rate of the EQ, it's an advanced option in the plugin configuration.
Try setting it to 10 Hz and then adjust it till the display goes nuts again :D

    Best regards
