Updated streams for norwegian radio (2 Viewers)

Yes, this works fine. I'd be grateful if you could get the address for P2 and P3 as well.

Btw, are the NRK servers slow today? It takes forever for the streams to start playing. When I opened up this URL in MediaPlayer I could see the buffering being very slow, and when it eventually start to play, it keeps rebuffering every few seconds. I listen to the NRK streams quite often, and they are usually quite reliable. The mp3 streams that I usually use are equally slow.

Strange. Some of the streams work for my "try out" PC, but not my HTPC (like the NRK-channels).

*UPDATE*
Please try the following streams. They are for the NRK channels (some, anyway) distrubated in OGG 172 kbs Unicast using IPv4, so quality should be good!

Mange brukere får for tiden beskjed om at de trolig befinner seg i utlandet, mens de sitter i Norge. Dermed får de heller ikke tilgang til tjenester som er stengt mot utlandet.

In brief: Not all services are allowed to abroad IP-addresses.

Yes, I am in the US, but all the normal Nettradio streams have always worked fine, so has the regular Nett-TV streams. I just hope they haven't changed their policies lately. I know some of the high-bandwidth streams from hiof.no does not work over here.

I'm still having problems with all NRK streams, including the original streams I have been using for years. Though it seems MediaPortal might be contributing to this. Is it a feature/bug of MP that it will jump to another stream if it takes too long to connect to the stream you select? No matter which NRK stream I select, I get the spinning wheel for quite a while, then it jumps to another stream, and it seems pretty random which stream it will jump to.

I can play any of the non-NRK streams just fine, irregardless of bandwidth. I am listening to Radio 1 Bergen (160Kbs) right now.

Btw, your .pls files work fine (other than the NRK problem). However, do I need to do anything to see the station logos? I put everything into one folder and told MP Radio setup to use that folder. I just don't see any station logos.....

Taking a look at the MP log, it appears to be a MediaPortal "feature" that it jumps to another stream if it has problems connecting. Attached is an extract of my MP log file, where this behavior is quite obvious.

As you can see, I start trying to play P1.. it fails, so it jumps to P2. That fails to and it ends up on P3, which plays successfully until I stop it.

As for my connection problem to NRK, I don't think it's a problem with NRK. Somewhere between my ISP and NRK there is a bottleneck. I cannot even go to NRK.no right now, all I get is a connection timeout. But when I VPN into work and try to connect from there, NRK.no comes up just fine.

Strange. The NRK channels with .ogg-streaming is the fastest ones here.

Try installing latest SVN or try other sources (try them out in VLC or somthing)

EDIT: about logos - some should appear (if you use the icon view etc.). I hav not included many logos, as I am hopless with PSP/PS etc. Sorry.
