Is it still based on https://github.com/MediaPortal/MediaPortal-2/tree/FEAT_DLNA like the first post says or is it now https://github.com/MediaPortal/MediaPortal-2/tree/FEAT_DLNA_v2 or something else entirely?

Sorry for the delay. Bubble UPnP and MediaHome (both Android apps) can see the MP2 server and browse media. Bubble says searching is not supported, MediaHouse tries to search but gets an HTTP 500 error. I can't actually play anything though (bad protocol info)

Looks like protocol info is handled by https://github.com/morpheusxx/Media...r/MediaServer/DLNA/DlnaProtocolInfoFactory.cs maybe if there's no DNLA MIA for a given media item it doesn't set up protocol info and that causes the error I'm seeing? I'll build a local copy of the source and add some debug. Would really like to have this working so I can get my Android phone and smart TV using MP2.

Please check out the branch from origin: https://github.com/MediaPortal/MediaPortal-2/commits/FEAT_DLNA_v2. There are the latest changes. Maybe this helps already

Made some local edits so the plugin works with my MIA changes.

- Search doesn't work but I know why (code was commented out)
- GetSearchCapabilities not implemented (have done this, Bubble doesn't complain any more)
- Can't browse the categories (Audio, Video). No fix for this yet
- Can browse shares (this was working anyway)
- Media info is now working. Had to change the if block which makes ContainsKey call to the item Aspects dictionary. ASPECT_ID is upper case in the code but MediaLibrary loads items with Guids in lower case so the lookup always fails. Have I broken this with my changes?
- Still can't play anything

All that aside I'm really excited about the possibility of getting this to work. Having seriously considered buying a whole lot of Sonos kit to stream media around the house it turns out I can do it with MP2 and the stuff I already have (Chromecast for video, repurposed digital photo frame flashed with Android image)

By the way I'm basing the DLNA changes on http://upnp.org/specs/av/UPnP-av-ContentDirectory-v1-Service.pdf is that what everyone else was using?
