Hi
I have tried several usb DVB sticks now and they all have no signal. My pci tuner works fine. The usb sticks work fine with their original software. I am using tv server. Can anyone help?
One was a Kworld, the other Lifeview. The Lifeview one is on the supported list. The Kworld one worked a while back but now doesn't. They both scan but have no signal and so find no channels.

That's most of the way through the tv.log, i'm a bit baffled why no signal, can you try something, change the recording\timeshifting folder for that tv card only to a new location and save (close TVServer config), then move back to the default folders and save again, stop and restart TVService under manual control after doing the above changes, now try retuning with that card.
I really am hoping you have a good aerial signal on this, just to be able to use multiple tuners at once.
And yes I have very good signal. I can use the USB tuner with its original software and it tuned into all channels fine. It's just when I use MP server it doesn't work.
Well, the log doesn't show any problems. I can see correctly tuned channels in the log. It seems to me that the tuner works fine.
Can you copy the created ts file(located in your timeshift folder) somewhere else while in channel preview and try to play it in VLC or MPC-HC?
PS: You can also try to make short record

Brief update... Hauppauge support responded quickly, stating that the "driver for all of our product confirm to the BDA format". Not sure what that means, but to test that, I downloaded a copy of Capture4Me, and indeed, it switches LNBs without any issues with minimal configuration (just set DiSEqC to 1.x A/B/C/D and select the...

It took a while but loading the three updates and waiting, (I wandered off doing other things), while the Win 7 searched for updates eventually brought about 170 available updates. I picked the latest, largest and Cumulative ones and everything burst into action enough to re-install MediaPortal 1.33 which is running very well. I let...

Ok, so perhaps a solution, but not the "right" solution. On the client, within media portal configuration, under TV settings, advanced options, I switched to UNC paths instead of the default RSS, and it's working very well. Sure I had to figure out the paths, but no big deal.
Maybe helpful for someone in the future. Thanks for the...
