I think there would be more users if there was a simple full installation guide for TVSeries, including Fan ART setup.

You actually have to read many posts to even realise there should exist a FanArt folder and its location, and what to do with it.

It's not very savvy for the non computer people.

    Thanks

Yes, now can we get it somewhere in a more prominent position, will make it a sticky if you post it here.

Only just seen this post, doh

I'd rather people edit/update/enhance the wiki page, which was created specifically for this purprose instead of linking to some 3rd party site. This way, all those "I don't know really" and "I think" sections could be adressed by other users (or better yet ask someone if somethign is unclear before posting a guide).

    :sorry:

    Hi folks,

after having a read about fan art, I am still wondering:

If there is no fan art for a particular series on my HD, is there a way to default the view for that series only, back to the "normal" non-fan-art view?

Otherwise, it seems the LHS of the screen has nothing in it.

    thanks!

Thats the skins' decision, they can display things differently depending on the Fanart or not.

Ah, ok. Do you know of any skins that display differently based on fanart presence then?

I have monochrome on right now, but it seems to just have a blank background if no fanart is there, rather than displaying the "normal" view.

You are welcome to take the information from there and use it for the wiki.

I created it so that I had a reference, as the posts/thread on AVForums of the creation of my HTPC were confusing for anyone that liked the look of what I had done (and there where a good few people interested) and didnt want to read through 100's of posts of me changing one thing or commenting on another before referencing something else.

Hence the website to try and make things more ledgable.
