Since 2.5 is out, Windows Defender won't let me install it.
Is it only me?
Shouldn't it have been solved by now?
Should I have installed something else?
Thank you

I don't use MP2, and I don't know what the problem might be. All that I can say is that development work on MP2 has come to a halt, and no one knows if or when development might restart. Therefore if you want to use MP2, you must use it as it is now, not as you might want it to be in the future.

Should I have installed something else?
MP1 is a separate product, and is still being developed. It is also the product that I use. If you want to try MP1, you should uninstall MP2 first and then reboot, before installing MP1.

This pops up any time you try to install an app that windows doesn't recognize. If it was a virus it would say it was a virus,
Well MP2 is certainly not a virus and I get the same also with MP 1. If you click on the "More Info" in that screen it should bring up another screen with the option to install anyway, click on that, see screenshot below and you should be all good.

Oh... one would have expected the other way. Why that one? Just curious.
At some point in the past, the MP development team had a difference of opinion with regard to the way that the product should evolve, and so (like Open Office and Libre Office) the development team split into two groups, with developers choosing to work on one product or the other, but not both.

It happens that the number of active MP2 developers has decreased more rapidly than the number of active MP1 developers, with the result that the number of active MP2 developers is now zero, whereas the number of active MP1 developers is still greater than zero. Of course, things can always change in the future.

Fixed, I think. Certainly the vintage MP2 installer that I was using no longer installs the LAV filters. I can only assume that these were never part of the install package itself, but rather downloaded during the install, and that link no longer exists. Shame that the installer doesn't indicate this. Last time when I installed the...

Ok, thanks much. I will look into the instructions above. For the moment, I turned off the "Automatic channel logo update" in Settings (which somehow I had missed, I think because it wasn't an option previously), and the deleted everything in the Flat-default folder and populated it with my own logos. Works, so far.

Thanks very much, Jasmeet. Worked. But note that this setting has moved, apparently, to: Settings > TV (not Plugins)

Can anyone tell me the step-by-step procedure for bringing up a second channel in pip mode? I can only do it sometimes, after many tries, and it’s not clear what I am doing that makes it work on those occasions when it does. Cannot find guidance on the site. Thanks, N. Again, if anyone knows how to do this, would be much...
