Hi surely video config not correct. VLC didn't use directshow codec MP does and if codec is not used with LAV then it can run into such issues.
It can be related to codec merit (priorities).
You can try mpchc that use directshow to compare but it use it own lav codec and not GUI osd but can be good start for compare [emoji106]
Try new log with watchdog tool thanks

If it plays with MPC-HC then it is possible in its settings to select the "external" lav, that is the installed version used by MP, either way it should point us to the cause of the problem.(y)

We are suggesting you try the problem video with the freeware player MPC-HC (or MPC-BE) as unlike VLC it uses LAV codecs. In MPC-HC with the standard setup this is an internal set of LAV but if necessary that can be changed to use the exact same "external" LAV as MP. Either way MPC is much closer to MP than VLC so it is a more useful troubleshooting tool.
