Just a question:
I have not tested this area 51so far but I have a question regarding an enhancement:
In germany the black bars are not always black. Some channels are showing their channel logo within these bars.
Is it possible to enhance this to lock for the black bars only in the middle of the screen and don't check in certain areas where these logos are shown?

What if the movie has a night scene that is shot against pitch black sky between two tall sky scrapers?

Then the sky scrapers are a kind of bungalow

I see, this idea needs a little more thinking ...
What about looking for the black bar on the bottom of the screen and assume that it is the same on top of the screen?

But this is only a nice to have ... We can move to another toppic if it is too complex or the idea is just rubbish ...

It already scans only in the centre 50% of the top/bottom/left/right areas to try and avoid logos etc. at the edges/in the corners - try it

Looks good. Could probably do with a detailed explanation of settings.

Changes:
Tweaked Settings a bit more.
Changed Non-Linear Stretch -> Linear Stretch for 1.85:1 because non-linear stretch is broken if AR Video > AR Screen.
