Okay, I've had a look at the dump, and I think I see where the channel numbers are stored. It looks like Virgin uses a descriptor that I've never seen before...

[edit: In fact they use all sorts of nasty proprietary descriptors that I've never seen before. :(]

I'm guessing that's a bad thing, can you extract the channel numbers okay?

Yes, I'm able to extract the channel numbers. :)
In case you weren't aware, TV Server is under code freeze at the moment. That means support for VM channel numbers isn't going to be added in the next release. However, do expect to see it sometime down the line in TVE 3.5.

Thanks for your hard work! Can you let me know when this either needs beta testing or is released and I shall test it. It would also be great if the channels could be categorised to the VM categories like I have done in my exports file.

I did also find the category IDs, so it may be possible.

I don't know about MP2 but as you said you tried MP1 too, how is the MP music config ? MP(1) will only use LAV if you select "Internal DirectShow player" as music output, but then you lose gapless playback. If you you don't have multichannel music you can choose WASAPI as the output and set the number of speakers to stereo. I have...

I note that you are using MP2. The following applies to MP1, but I think that MP2 is identical in this situation. "TV Server Config" has a "TV Mapping" panel in the "TV Channels" section. On the "TV Mapping" tab: The left column lists the channels that have not yet been mapped to the TV tuner identified by the drop-down menu just...

Hi. I was probably being a bit fast and loose with my terminology. I meant "somewhere within the files that MP2 uses in its database". Anyway, I found a way to do this which was far from automated but relatively low effort. I found what looked like all the images (CD covers, DVD covers, backgrounds etc all lumped together in...
