does the path exists? if not, you may have to create the folder "C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Log\"

Yes, that path exists. That's where the MediaPortal.log file is created and that works just fine.

sorry if this sounds childish, but did you double check that you are looking for c:\programData, and not "c:\Program Files", because the first one is hidden under windows vista by default.

another thing that comes to mind: do you have User Account Control disabled?

    I'm looking for c:\Program Data\.. That's where i found the MediaPortal.log file.

The first thing that i do after a clean install is to enable "view system files, hidden.."..

I disabled User Account control now, it's rebooting as i'm typing. Perhaps that solves this problem.

Edit: ok, just noticed that it actually wants to create the files in c:\Program Files\..... And there's not such dir in my installation. It's c:\program.. I'll try to create this dir manually.

Ok, i got the vmr9.log file now. Had to create the Log dir in C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Log

Or c:\Program\.. Seems that the Program Files dir is just a link, or vice versa.

unfortunately i cannot see anything suspicious in the logfile. i assume when you disable EVR everything works as expected? did you try the new tsreader filter? can you try using the default direct sound device?

other than that, i have no real clue what could be the problem, but i hope to be able to reproduce it with the new TV-Card.
Anyway, thanks for trying to find the vmr9.log for me. maybe i will add some more debug output, if you are willing to test a few more revisions of the dll in the coming days.

edit: one more idea: if you have a file named error.log, please attach it too.

Tried with the new tsreader, no go. Locks upp when start the HD channel. Didn't work in the regular channels either. I could watch recorded material but it locked up after a little while.

does lockup mean you have to kill mediaportal.exe, or are you able to just stop the video?

Hi all, I don't frequently update my MediaPortal and before seeing if it's really useful I used to browse the Changelog to determine if this update is necessary for my system or not. Today I wanted to check the Changelog for version 1.34 (1.31 installed on my system) and I was asked for a “Jira” login. I tried to use the same one as...
