Um...if you use the Windows Media Player as the music player (see Configuration -> Music) then it should come up automatically.

Every so often, when I switch to a TV channel, my MP client stops accepting user inputs, either from the remote or keyboard/mouse...
I don't know if it makes any difference, but MPC-VR is open source too, so that might make it easier to integrate if you can access the code to see what it's doing.

I am running a Xubuntu machine as a server with all my movies and series on it, I run a VirtualBox VM with Windows 10 installed on the virtual machine and MP1 client installed on that.
