I love this plugin :D

But when I stop viewing a film in the middle for example, it don't always ask to play back again from this middle point. I can't explain why sometimes it work and sometimes not.

Now I can explain why sometimes it works => it's when I shut down MP with ALT-F4 when still playing the film then it remembers the last time of viewing (but it's very anoying to have to do this everytime I have to interrupt a film :()

Just For Your Info, it works with VLC 1.0.1

I have the same issues as above. It happens on most videos, however the ones it does work on are not limited to a certain extension or anything, rather it seems to hit files randomly. Either a file will work with full seeking and OSD, or it will have no OSD and no seeking whatsoever. I did have to turn off the OSD Option (the first one only) to get the player to work.

I also have the same other problem as Miranda: rewinding simply makes the film slow right down rather than actually go backwards.

I'm using the latest version of the plugin as of today, and VLC 1.0.2.

I am loving this plugin however. There are some files which MediaPortal just would not play, or would play too slowly. I can now play them with this plugin.

Hello all,

I'm using MP 1.1.0b and VLC 1.0.5, is there something I can do to make them work together ?

Actually I cannot configure settings (they are lost), and movies are launched in new VLC window, so it is not working as expected.

    Hi i didn't try with 1.10, So it works with VLC1.0.5 & MP1.0.2.
movies are launched in windowed mode because you have troubleshooting with configuration.
could you please send me a log file while you save configuration.

When I first go in the plugin settings, I have an error, I click on continue and then I can configure the plugin, but everything is just blank.
I entered values in first screen, and selected all movie extensions and hit OK.

    Here is the .log :

    Hi,

I have a Mediaportal 1.1.0 RC1 and VLC 0.9.9 installed and i tried to use the VLC 0.9.x External Player plugin but it doesn't work very well.

When I tried to play a video inside the configuration page of the plugin I receive such kind of message :"impossible to find the entry point 'libvlc_medi_player_set_hwnd' in the DLL 'libvlc'."

When I launch VLC executable it works fine.

What should I do to fix the plugin?

    Thanks,
