The Background mode doesn't have a menu entry, to open the main page you must skinning your own way. For a description please consult the manual.

Official beta VolumeControl plugin for MediaPortal v0.7.0

Dear all,
some days ago some users suggested to enhance this plugin with a solution to switch audio channels directly inside the GUI.
The official beta version include this feature now.

The following requirements must be fullfilled to use this beta version:

• Windows Vista or Windows 7 x32/x64 must be installed (tested with official MSDN release of Windows 7 service pack 1)
• MediaPortal v1.2 must be installed (compiled against SVN 27546)
• Bass is your default player
• the skin files must be updated (for more information see the included documentation)
• key controls must be re-configured in the configuration dialog

Please be aware, that you must install all required components manually, an official installer file will be published in time with the final version of MediaPortal v1.2.

all plugins are updated to SVN 1.1.6.27641, please download it from the plugin repository (see archived files of the appropriate plugin).

Thanks, I dl and copied 3 files to C:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\Windows

I can see the plugin in the MP config screen

I tried to activate from MP UI and got the error that volumecontro.xml is missing

Furthermore, I want to ensure that this plugin can switch the audio devices - between digital and Analog outputs, is it possible?

OK, I copied the file to Stream MP skin, its doesn't seem to be viewed well


I am still looking for the answer to my second question though

in the plugin related download repository under section "Archived Files" you can find a 1.2b compatible versions.
Please install the latest official version before and copy the included files into the plugin directory.

please install the latest official version, download the MediaPortal v1.2b compatible version from here and replace the plugin libraries.
