    Hi all!

I have just added the possibility to import bookmarks/favorites from Firefox and IE to the configuration dialog. Also possible to grab start page from either browser.

Just replace your plugins\Windows\WebBrowser.dll with the attached one to upgrade.

Note that if you are using the Windows Favorites folder as the favorite folder for the plugin, any bookmarks imported from Firefox will not only be imported to the plugin, but to your Internet Explorer as well.

Please report any errors you may find to this thread.

    Regards
    DalaNorth

    Hi DalaNorth,

I was trying to type in a URL yesterday and realized there is a hard limit on 30 characters in the address field. Do you think it is possible to extend this?

    /Peter

petsa: That's not entirely true. There is a hard limit on 64 characters and a dynamic limit that states that the width of text string must not exceed the width of the text field. (For instance, you can type a lot more 'i' than 'M' characters...).

The width calculation is a bit inaccurate however, so there is usually a lot of space left when the limit is reached.

I'll put this in my todo list, but priority is low. Does anyone really type long web addresses? Especially if all you have is a remote?

    Hi DalaNorth,

I agree this is a lower priority. I guess I had an unusually long URL, it was actually for a friends wedding...

I've found another, quite annoying, feature of the WebBrowser. Whenever the cusors stays idle for just a little while over the viewing area it disappears. It seems to be the same regardless if I use a regular mouse, or if I use my MCE in "mouse-mode".

The only way (I've found so far) to get the cursor visible again is to move it outside the viewing area and back.

This makes surfing a bit tricky since it is hard to figure out which links I'm moving past and when to click.

I'm using the SVN from yesterday and your new .dll to import bookmarks.

    Any ideas?

    /Peter

Just disable "Autohide mouse cursor in fullscreen mode when idle" for now. I'll try to figure out why the cursor doesn't show until it is moved outside the browser area, but right now I'm working on support for different skin sizes.

    Hi DalaNorth,

Thanks for fixing it with the BlueTwo Wide. I'm looking forward to test with the new SVN tomorrow.

And thanks for the suggestion on the cursor disappearing.

    /Peter

I did try the new webbrowser last night - and it works great except for positioning as discussed already. May be further aggravated in my case as I use UI scaling.

With the latest version, is the frame now being displayed via a GUI element?
If so - I'd expect this to take into account any UI calibration scaling :)

I'll give it a go later.

    Thanks for the good work.
    Regards,
    BigJ.
