Is there any possibility to do a working version for the MP 2.2.0v?

I prefer to keep the lastest stable version installed until the next stable release come out...

Thanks

Version that works with current stable 2.2

Well, I may have screwed something up (likely), but I downloaded Visual C# Express and built this version using the latest sources and it seems to work for me ...

YMMV

Thank you very much for this plugin version pyedog. I will try it this afternoon when i come back to home.

I use my HTPC 50% for watching TV - 50% web browsing, so this plugin is very useful for me.

You'll also need the MOZILLACONTROLLib.dll and the AxMOZILLACONTROLLib.dll found in the zip attached to this post:

Also follow the instructions to install the Mozilla ActiveX Control version 1.7.12 if you have not already done so.

Yup - I figured no point in uploading extra copies of something already uploaded ... sorry ...

It seems to generally work for me, but the on screen keyboard doesn't work. I couldn't find the old sources to see what was different - any suggestions as to what to change to fix it?

Thanks for making this - it is exceptionally useful!

Hmm... It probably has something to do with the fact that the WebKeyboard has been removed from the main distribution package in the later SVN:s

13/02/2007 [09:59h] DalaNorth added: Removed web browser keyboard. Latest version of webbrowser plugin must be used from now on.

My version of the plugin from that date forward contains its own implementation of the keyboard. So, if you compiled using an SVN from after 13/02/2007, but sources from before that date, the keyboard won't work. If you compiled using MP 0.2.2.0 or SVN before 13/02/2007, but sources from after that date, the keyboard won't work.

Start there and get back to us :)

Sorry about all this version mayhem, but a lot has happened in the SVN and the web keyboard was scheduled for removal in the main distribution, so I did it this way. To be sure you always have the latest WebBrowser plugin, useSourceForge. Here you can also always get the latest "official" source code.

I also think this is a very useful plugin, but I'm experiencing problems using it, someone already discussed in past posts:

    1) not able to type long URLs, even www.team-mediaportal.com stops before the .com (I'm using video resolution 800x600)
    2) when entering some sites MP exits without saying a word and I'm back to the desktop...
    3) some pages display a window popup telling that the page you are accessing is protected and you have to click OK to proceed
    4) if I have a "Playing now" video or TV when entering the webbrowser I can only ear the audio but I cannot see the video in the left bottom corner, but the worst is that also the plugin doesn't show up the webpage, there is only the blue background, the top navigation bar and a stuttering audio

is there some work in progress for these issues?

Thank you for your input. Nice to have some stuff on the todo list!

    1) Already on my todo-list. Will bump the priority now :)

    2) Could you provide a list of some of these sites so I can investigate further?

    3) Hmm... Maybe the warning can be disabled somehow. Again, example?

    4) Okay, as a first solution, I will probably stop or pause the currently playing video when entering the web browser. Added to the todo-list.

By the way. If anyone else is interested in helping me out, the sources are available at SourceForge, so feel free to chip in :) Unfortunately I don't have as much time for this as I would like...

as other people said when entering www.team-mediaportal.com it starts to load and then kicks me out from MP, I typed it as "www.team-mediaportal" because I'm not able to enter the entire URL...I don't know if this may be the problem.

for the popup issue I was entering my eBay account...

thanks for the great plugin anyway!
